Characteristics
This weapon deals primarily Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage.
Advantages:
- High Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage – effective against health.
- Infinite combo duration.
- Useful as a "stat stick" for certain Warframe Abilities; See Tips.
- Second highest critical chance of all glaives, behind Glaive Prime.
- Highest critical multiplier of all glaives.
- Good status chance.
- Tied with Halikar for the second-fastest attack speed of all glaives, behind Glaive Prime.
- Heavy Attack throws the glaive, which can bounce up to three times or travels up to 30 meters before returning to the user, damaging anyone in its path.
- Thrown glaive has a guaranteed Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. proc.
- Primary and secondary weapons can be fired and reloaded normally with a thrown glaive, and retrieving the glaive does not interrupt these actions.
- Thrown glaive is silent.
- Combo is not consumed when throwing the glaive.
- Re-use Heavy Attack while the glaive is mid-flight to make an explosion and recall the glaive.
- Explosion has innate Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage.
- The explosion consumes the combo and benefit from heavy attack bonus damage.
- Highest explosion radius (8 meter) of all glaives.
- Can be wielded in-tandem with a single-handed secondary weapon.
Disadvantages:
- Low Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage – less effective against shields.
- Innate Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage on explosions – less effective against Alloy Armor.
- Third lowest damage of all glaives, above Glaive and Kestrel.
- Cannot use melee attacks while the glaive is in mid-flight.
- Explosion inflicts self-stagger.
- Explosion has linear damage falloff from 100% to 30% from central impact.
Notes
- It is currently the only weapon with an infinite combo duration. However, combo stacks are still consumed by heavy attacks.
- Unlike other glaives, the charged throw's explosion radius is larger than a regular throw's.
- The Slam Radial Damage has an 18% chance to inflict the Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. status effect, which is unaffected by mods.
- In the Granum Void, the Xoris's charged throw explosion can convert any Errant Specters into Specter Particles regardless of their level, who can then be absorbed up to 3 times. Detonating a fully charged Xoris will greatly increase the area of effect and free captured Solaris within the area, adding 20 seconds to the Void timer.
Tips
- The Xoris synergizes well with Corrupt Charge or True Punishment, as it can completely ignore their combo duration penalties before they reach -100%.
- The Xoris is ideal as "stat stick" for Exalted melee weapons and certain Warframe abilities, because with the infinite combo duration, there is no need to refresh the combo duration of the melee weapon to keep the bonus depending of it. What mods to equip depends on what will be used (This interaction is getting removed in the next update) :
- Exalted Melee Weapons such as the Iron Staff or the Valkyr Talons benefit from the bonus of the Gladiator Mod Set (including from the gladiator mods on the standard melee weapon), with the bonus given being calculated with the combo of the standard melee weapon.
- For abilities like Whipclaw and Landslide, standard combo scaling mods such as Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds can be used freely.
