Weeping Wounds is an uncommon Melee mod that increases status chance as the Melee Combo Counter increases.

Notes

  • Does not increase status chance without an active Combo Counter.
  • Unlike dual stat mods (e.g. Mod TT 20px Virulent Scourge), Weeping Wounds can increase status chance without introducing a new damage type into the mix.
    • This is especially useful for weapons that deal mostly Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist., Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. or Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage, because those effects can be stacked onto an enemy multiple times unlike many other status effects like Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. which only refresh their duration with repeated procs.
  • Weeping Wounds can often be significantly more powerful than a single dual stat mod in increasing pure status chance, if Mod TT 20px Body Count or Mod TT 20px Drifting Contact is used in conjunction.
  • While at 2.0x Combo Counter, can be stacked with Mod TT 20px Volcanic Edge, Mod TT 20px Voltaic Strike, Mod TT 20px Vicious Frost, and Mod TT 20px Virulent Scourge, and Mod TT 20px Drifting Contact for a 722% increase in status chance. On weapons with at least 15% base status chance, this allows them to achieve a total value of 100%, allowing every strike to inflict procs.
  • Weeping Wounds can not be equipped on Exalted Weapons, and does not affect abilities that scale with melee mods, such as Landslide.

Calculation

The formula for calculating the increased status chance reached by the mod is as follows:

Status Chance = Modded Status Chance × (1 + Weeping Wounds Multiplier × Combo Multiplier)

For example, a weapon with 20% base status chance, modded with maxed Mod TT 20px Drifting Contact (+40%) and Weeping Wounds, and with a Combo Counter of 2.5x would reach 0.20 × 1.4 × (1 + 0.45 × 2.5) = 59.5% chance to proc.

Status Chance = Weapon Status Chance × [1 + Mod Status Bonus + Weeping Wounds Bonus × (Combo Multi - 1)]

  • Weeping Wounds Bonus: This is the bonus provided by Mod TT 20px Weeping Wounds based on its rank.
  • Combo Multi: This is the multiplier from your melee combo counter.
  • Mod Status Bonus: This is the total of all other equipped mod bonuses added together (excluding Weeping Wound bonuses of course). For example, a maxed Mod TT 20px Voltaic Strike (+60%) and Mod TT 20px Melee Prowess (+90%) on a weapon gives a Mod Status Bonus of +150%.
