Vulpaphyla are Infested fox-like creatures native to the Cambion Drift on Deimos. They can be found up to groups of three in the wild or one can be tracked down as a Conservation activity.
General[]
Vulpaphyla are agile and skittish lifeforms that can travel in packs of up to three. They survive by avoiding direct confrontation, instead choosing to scavenge the Drift for any loose morsels of food. Usually non-aggressive, their first instinct is to distance themselves from a threat. Although, they will directly attack if confronted.
Vulpaphyla adapted from canid scavenger gene stock from ancient Earth, mostly likely cargo from one of the unfortunate shipwrecks that litter Deimos. Their lifecycle begins with them starting out as a larva, which then slowly grows into a fully fledged, four-legged scavenger.
Vulpaphyla can often be found being attacked by the other Infested that inhabit the Drift, causing them to become "Weakened". Capturing a Vulpaphyla in this state allows them to be used as a modular Companion through a process called Revivification with Son.
Subspecies[]
A common Vulpaphyla subspecies. The Sly are easy to take down, if you manage to spot them before they flee.

A rare Vulpaphyla subspecies that only appears during Vome. Unlike their Sly cousins, the Crescent Vulpaphyla's first instinct is to attack, and will charge at anything that they think is a threat.
They also possess a pair of tough horns, which are snapped off by any nearby Grineer.

A rare Vulpaphyla subspecies that only appears during Fass. Due to the hostile environment of Deimos and the Cambion Drift, the Panzer Vulpaphyla's skin has evolved to become more thick, acting like natural armor plating, requiring 3 tranq shot to fully subdue.
When captured via Conservation the will reward the following:
