Volatile Variant is a Weapon Augment Mod for the  Sporothrix that grants Punch Through, and removes the embed delay so shots explode instantly on impact. In addition, direct hits gain increased explosion radius and Status Chance.

Acquisition

Volatile Variant could be obtained by reaching Rank 25 with Nightwave during Nora's Mix Volume 5.

Notes

• Barbs explode each time they hit an enemy, allowing multiple explosions per shot.

Tips

• Because the low damage of the weapon's area of effect is unchanged by this augment (besides an increase in status chance), it's best used to spread status to enemies and soften them up rather than outright kill them.
