The Viral Quills mod allows the Panzer Vulpaphyla to launch quills at enemies within 20m, dealing damage and infecting them with Viral b.png Viral spores.

This mod is unique to the Panzer Vulpaphyla, and will be given to players upon revivification of a Panzer Vulpaphyla.

Stats[edit | edit source]

Rank Quills Viral w.png Viral Damage Cooldown Cost
0 3 15 10s 0
1 4 30 8s 1
2 5 45 6s 2
3 6 60 4s 3

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The quills cause ~80% Puncture b.svg Puncture and ~20% Impact b.svg Impact damage.
    • Quill damage is affected by Mod TT 20px.pngBite and elemental mods.
    • Quills can apply status effects normally, according to their current damage types.
  • Enemies hit by quills are then afflicted by spores, similar to SarynIcon272.png Saryn's Spores130xDark.png Spores, which inflict Viral b.png Viral damage every second and apply Viral b.png Viral procs.
    • Each spore deals damage and applies Viral b.png Viral procs independently.
    • Spore damage is not affected by mods.
    • Unlike Spores130xDark.png Spores, spore damage does not increase over time.
    • A maximum of 10 spores can spawn per enemy.
    • Spores can be spread by shooting or hitting it or the afflicted enemy being killed by an external source of damage.
      • Saryn's ToxicLash130xDark.png Toxic Lash will also burst all spores on a target.
    • Spores remain active and spread as long as Panzer Vulpaphyla is alive. If Panzer Vulpaphyla dies and enters larval state (Panzer Devolution), the larva can fire Quills and initiate a new instance of Spores. These Spores remain active and spread only during this larval stage. When larval stage ends and Panzar Vulpaphyla respawns in full form, the larval Spores will end.
  • Pairs well with Mod TT 20px.pngHunter Recovery, Healing the Warframe for a percentage of the damage done by both the Quills and the Spores produced.
