Velocipods are large flying insects that roam the Cambion Drift. These docile creatures are passive towards players and can be ridden by players with controls identical to K-Drives. They can also be tranquilized and captured for Conservation purposes.

Of note is the fact that they do not glow or emit a beep when using the Tranq Rifle.

Green Velocipod

This large arthropod is generally found flying around Deimos' several grottos.

When captured via Conservation they will reward the following:

Purple Velocipod

A sluggish highlands insect that's capable of bursts of speed when threatened.

When captured via Conservation they will reward the following:

White Velocipod

The fastest variety of Velocipod, it tends to favor the swamplands.

When captured via Conservation they will reward the following:

Notes

• Purple Velocipod tags are required to craft the Helminth Upgrade Segment.
• While riding a Velocipod, K-Drive affinity and Ventkids standing is gained.

• Higher quality Conservation captures will now provide better rewards, as they do in our other Free Roam landscapes. Scoring a “Good” capture will now provide 2 animal capture Tags instead of 1, and “Perfect” captures will award 3 Tags!
