Vasca Kavat

CODEX

A drinker of life, this Kavat prowls the Plains upon dusk.

When out in the Plains of Eidolon during the night cycle, wild Vasca Kavats may be found typically in a pack of 3 to 6. If you encounter one of these packs and have a Kavat equipped, they will attack and infect your Kavat with the Vasca Virus; a sign of infection is a red pulse overlay on your Kavat.

Draining Bite
Deals 100/200/300/400 damage and restores 2/5/7/10% health to the kavat.

Transfusion
When its master is bleeding out, the Vasca Kavat sacrifices 80/60/40/20% of its health to raise them.

Curing the Infection

Master Teasonai in Cetus sells the Vasca Curative for 500 Standing 500. It is a gear item which must be equipped and used in a mission.

Acquisition

A Vasca Kavat can be acquired by using Genetic Code Templates on an infected Kavat. To obtain the Vasca Kavat Genetic Code Templates you will need the following:

1. 2 Kavats (can be done with 1)
2. 2 Genetic Code Templates
3. Stasis Slot
4. 10 Kavat Genetic Code
5. Incubator Power Core

Head to the Plains of Eidolon during the night with Kavat equipped. Run around the Plains to find a pack of Vasca Kavats and have them attack your Kavat. This is the process of infecting your Kavat with the Vasca Virus. You know if your Kavat has been infected by the red pulse overlay it will have.

An Infected Kavat

If you do not want to search the Plains for a Vasca Kavat to spawn, equip your Echo-Lure and start its Conservation. Make sure the Vasca Kavats attack your Kavat before you tranquilize them. Clear out surrounding enemies from the calling spot due to the Vasca targeting other enemies and dying to said enemies.

Once your first Kavat is infected, go back to your Orbiter and put the infected Kavat into Stasis. Putting the infected Kavat into Stasis will not remove its infected status. This also makes it easier so instead of Rushing/Waiting for the template to complete you can equip your next Kavat and repeat.

Once you have two infected Kavats, use the genetic template on them. Infection only has 1 use so if you wish to get more Vasca Kavats you will need to repeat the process. You are also able to create imprints from a Vasca Kavat. After you have two Genetic Template Codes from your two infected Kavats, start up the Kavat Breeding, so you will need to select your two Infected Templates. After the birthing process is done you will now have a Vasca Kavat.

Note: This guide was written using 2 Kavats, but I have also confirmed that you can use a single Kavat for both imprints; however you will still need to infect it again after the first imprint, as taking the imprint removes the infection.

Conservation

In addition to getting your new Vampire Feline friend there are also Vasca Kavat Floofs to acquire. Master Teasonai, in Cetus, sells the Vasca Kavat Lure for 3000 Standing 3000 as well as Vasca Kavat Pheromones for 200 Standing 200. As said before, once finding the Echo location clear the area of all hostiles. The Vasca likes to change targets to a hostile, but has low health and may die. You can also hunt for Vasca floofs during the day - this could possibly be changed as it does seem to be the Vasca is a nocturnal animal (as stated in voice lines)

Ostina Vasca Kavat
