Umbra Mods are special Mods released with Update 23.0 that can only be acquired through The Sacrifice Quest, or via Cephalon Simaris (Although this option is only available after completing The Sacrifice Quest). Umbral mods are enhanced versions of existing mods, featuring the properties of both Primed mods and Set Mods, offering significantly improved stats over their base counterpart, and increasing their overall stats upon equipping the required number of mods. They also possess a second stat that grants enhanced effectiveness when fighting Sentient enemies, either in the form of increased damage against them, or increased defense.

While Umbra mods can be used on any Warframe and weapon, Umbra mods have a unique UmbraUmbra polarity, whose matching polarity can currently only be found on Excalibur UmbraIcon272.png Excalibur Umbra, the EWExaltedBlade.png Exalted Umbra Blade, and the Skiajati.png Skiajati. When acquired through The Sacrifice Quest, the Umbral mods will already be at rank 5.

Umbra Formas, which can be acquired from Nightwave, are a special type of Forma that can apply the Umbra polarity to Warframes and Melee Weapons.

List of Umbra Mods

Mods are shown without the set bonus, which increases their stats.

Umbral Mod Set

The Umbral mod set can only be equipped on Warframes, and provides bonuses to their individual mods when all mods in the set are used on the same Warframe. With 2 equipped, the mods will receive a 25% increase to their effects. With all three, Umbral Fiber and Umbral Vitality will gain 75% increases to their effects, and Umbral Intensify will receive a 50% increase to its effects.

Sacrificial Mod Set

The Sacrificial mod set is a set of Umbra mods for melee weapons, that provide bonuses to their individual mods when all mods in the set are used on the same weapon, increasing their effects by 25%. They cannot be put on Arch-melee weapons.

Bugs

  • When using the Sacrificial Mod Set on the Deconstructor or Deconstructor Prime their individual mods will not show any increase in power, but the weapon itself will show an increase in Power indicating that it did receive the bonus.
