True Master's Font

The True Master's Font, also known as the Blessing Altar, is an altar in Relays that allows players of Mastery Rank 30 or higher to bestow a blessing upon all players in that relay. Blessings that can be granted are: bonus Affinity gain, bonus Credits gain, increased Resource Drop Chance, increased base damage, increased base health and increased base shields.

Notes

• Each blessing gives 25% of the respective boost or buff.
  • Affinity and credits bonuses stack multiplicatively with boosters of the same type.^{[citation needed]}
  • Resource drop chance bonus stack multiplicatively with resource drop chance boosters (e.g., 2.5 times the original resource drop chance).
  • Base damage, health, and shield bonuses stack additively with mods that increase the respective base stat (e.g. +25% damage bonus stacks additively with  Serration).
  • The Credit blessing is additive with  Chroma's  Effigy.
• Operators and their Amps are also affected by the blessings.
  • Because there is only one other source of amp base damage,  Virtuos Fury, the damage increase from the damage blessing is proportionally better. With the arcane equipped, the effective multiplicative damage increase from the damage blessing is 19%. If it isn't equipped, the blessing will effectively increase the damage by 25%.
• Blessings do not apply in Conclave.
• There is a 23 hour cooldown before a True Master can bestow their blessing again.
• Each blessing lasts 3 hours.
  • Receiving the same blessing before it has expired resets it to 3 hours. It can never stack beyond that.
  • Blessings are activated instantly and can therefore expire in the relay if the player stays in the relay for 3 hours without the buff being refreshed.
• All blessings can be held at the same time.
• After being blessed, the player can "Press F to Thank" the player that bestowed the bless.

Trivia

• "Press F to Thank" is likely a reference to the internet meme "Press F to Pay Respects" that originated from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Bugs

• The credit booster buff currently stacks both additively and multiplicatively. Source
• The UI that appears after blessing often fails to show up, for both the blesser and the blessed alike. When this happens, the booster is still be applied and will show up after leaving the relay.
