− | The reason for this is that Warframes have the [[Flesh]] health class which is innately weak to {{Icon|Proc|Toxin|Text}} damage and as such will receive 150% damage from {{Icon|Proc|Toxin|Text}} sources. |
||
− | |||
− | Using the Toxin Resistance mod will reduce the bonus damage inflicted linearly instead of multiplicatively. For example, using a fully upgraded Toxin Resistance (15%) will total the odds between the resisted damage and the original damage by '''(150%-15%):150% = 135%:150%''', or '''90%:100%''', or '''9:10'''. Therefore, it can be concluded that all Warframe with fully modded Toxin Resistance only resists 10% instead of 15% of {{Icon|Proc|Toxin|Text}} damage, which determines the Toxin Resistance's True Value formula to be: |

Toxin Resistance is an aura mod that reduces Toxin damage by 2.5% per rank, up to 15% at max. This can be stacked with other teammates. Its effect is similar to Antitoxin.

Notes
- Damage resistance works on both health and shields. It also works for damage over time effects dealt by Toxin procs.
- Only Hildryn with overshields active can make use of the damage resistance to shields, as Toxin bypasses shields otherwise.
- Increases effective health/shields by +17.7% against Toxin damage.
- 100% ÷ (100% - 15%) = 1.1765x more effective health/shields
- Damage resistance bonus is multiplicative with other sources of damage resistance such as Adaptation and Antitoxin
- This mod can be used to reduce the effect of Toxic Ancient's toxin damage when touching them. It also reduces the DoT toxin proc effect that can happen when coming into contact with them.
- It may also be useful in Sortie missions where elemental enhancement is present and the enemies are modified with additional Toxin damage.
Trivia
- For a short time after Update 10.6 (2013-10-30) this mod could have been acquired via Transmutation.[1] This was due to a bug where all mods, including unreleased ones such as this one, became obtainable through transmutation. This has since been fixed, but players who obtained the mod this way were allowed to keep them.
- As of Hotfix 11.0.6 (2013-11-25) all unreleased mods were made untradeable.
