Implementing this on every page is a very tedious task, and rather than getting better at learning how to wikia ourselves via bots, we could just have a bunch of new people read through patch notes and just add the note to the relevant page.
We get a fancy new useful feature
We can teach new users how to edit
Integrating new users into large multi-person projects
I mean, most weapons are just "introduced," and when you think about it, if one person does each patch it might take them like an hour or two to finish, and nobody said it had to be done in a day, just as an ongoing project.
Just whenever somebody reads through a patch and adds all of the notes, make sure they post it somewhere saying "I've logged this patch, nobody else has to do it" or something. But by doing things on a patch-basis rather than a page/item-basis, it's actually not that overbearing.
And as I said, it's good to get new editors involved, not so good for older editors like ourselves because this is burnout material.
I don't think it's a good idea fto implement Patch History for Characters and Factions, because I think people have explained it throughoutly in the pages already. In addition, they may be heavily based on the lore and I think it's better if we isolate that into another section.
