From reading the description of the ability; the impact of overextended would only hurt absorb since it decreases power overall as the cost of range. Since absorb has no range it would only make sense, to me, to use overextended if you weren't going to ever use this ability because it only hurts your overall damage output.
Apologies, I misread the first time. IMO it would be situational if you know you are going to get bombarded with enemies and they will keep coming then increasing the range isn't bad at the cost of base power since it does a base amount of damage plus damage you take. However, I am not sure if that damage is also reduced.
Rather off-topic question: Absorb has a minimum damage of 1,500 at max rank. Does that mean it'll do 1,500 if Nyx takes less than 1,500, or will it do 1,500 plus any damage incurred?
As I've been using Nyx for a little bit, it seems as if 1,500 is the amount you will do regardless. They don't feel like it's 1,500+damage done, but that's just IMO
Yeah, I realize damage 2.0 made things a lot harder to look at, along with Absorb's natural damage falloff. Thanks for the observation, though.
