  • So... now lvl 12 Ancients are dropping with one arrow from my Dread (modded with +75% physical damage and +90% blast damage)...  Were they nerfed or does slash/blast damage have a really good damage multiplier?

    • The rest of the infested seem to be better at attacking than before.  I can't just slash my way through a horde while taking 0 damage anymore.

    • I was doing the new invasion events while taking absolutely no damage.  A low rank Ignis and...surprisingly enough...Ether Daggers were all I needed.  The Daggers let me easily carve my way through hordes of Infested no problem, even Ancients.  Fast, wide-reaching slashing weapons seem to be the way to go.

    • Ancients no longer have armor so it is much easyer to kill them with non-armor ignoing weapons.

    • Like 178.204 i think all the heavies were nerfed.  My gal slices through both infested and infested heavies like a hot knife through butter with only one mod switched out.  No major surprise on the infested but the grineer mildly surprising.  My sicarus can 2 pop pretty much any grineer (if not one shot the dregs) and used to it would take a full 2 or 3 clips for heavies pre dmg-2.0 so it tells me that they don't like impact and or radiation damage my gal does neither so it all leads me to believe there's been a blanket nerf on heavies.

    • I reckon slashing works on all infested (the ancients had a lot of armour before this recent update) and since Dread almost solely relies on slashing damage you'd be carving up any kind of infested, just pray that the grineer dont invade the ship you're massacring infested on.

    • For the Grineer, different units actually take different types of damage now, not just the faction as a whole. Grineer heavies are actually very susceptible to Slash damage (which kinda makes sense when you look at its build), but you may have a different story to tell trying to cut down/shoot down a commander with a Slash damage weapon.


      I think this new mod system is really interesting. Some chances would be nice, yes, but overall I think it's great.

      To be fair, they had differences before too... light Grineer had no armor before so any damage type was fine for them (Bullet did extra to the head). Medium Grineer had high base armor, but also a bunch of different multipliers (Fire, Electric, Armor Piercing and Bullet). Heavy Grineer had 'average' base armor and Bullet damage multiplier.

    • Corrosive + Blast fitted will drop any Grineer down to size, very quickly.

      Surprisingly now, Leapers have armor though, so if facing infested it is still nice to have a AP / puncture weapons.
