I think that one more channeled ult without a unique game mechanic would just be a really lazy way forward. And agree with the above, I see him more as a support necromancer, letting the dead fight for him, spreading fear and terror and sacrilege.
I like the idea of him being a reaper, but in all actuality he is a necromancer, as stated above. And I can agree to moving his Shadows of the Dead over and giving him a new Ult.
Instead of "Terror" as a cast ability, it should be more of a roll-off from his other abilities. I mean lets just face it, if I saw a friend get his soul punched out of him I'd be pretty effin' terrified. So why not remove Terror, slide SotD over and give him a more frightening Ult or even leaving SotD as his ultimate and give him a new support cast, like... hands reaching from the ground holding enemies where they are caught. I guess, kind of like Hydroid's "Tentacle Swarm", but not all... flingy and weird... lol
And about the Scythe idea, I wouldn't be upposed to it, but... I'd have to hope that it would mimic Excalibur's "Exalted Blade" and deal some sort of ranged damage or have super reach.
The scythe is sorta unoriginal no offense but i do think some of his abilities need to be changed/tweaked. For example, I personally never ever use terrify, and I just don't really see the merit in that. Instead they could replace it with an offensive ability or a buff or anything else. You could use it when theres a bunch of enemies and you gotta revive someone, but tbh you can just pull out shadows of the dead and use your minions as cannon fodder. Also gotta agree with the point above, the man's a necromancer not the grim reaper, hence the name "Nekros", not something like "Grimos" or "Reapos" (Excuse the bad names I'm just making a point) but I'm totally down with some kind of ability changes. He really needs it.
It's very useful, I don't deny that, but terrify should be a passive that actuvates anytime any abilty is casted.
If it's a passive, you shouldn't have to activate it...
no no no... by passive in this case, I mean a "run-off" from his other abilities. I feel like you knew what I meant but kinda wanted to throw something in my face. And that's cool and all, but really?
anyway, he could use another ability and Terror could just be a side effect of his other cast abilities.
@Tyrasis I'm smart enough not to get swarmed so I never need to use it. Unlike some people.
