—The Quills of Cetus Fragment
A secretive order, loyal to the mysterious and reclusive 'Unum'. Some say their relationship to cause and effect is unnatural, their knowledge profane. When a Quill acts, things change.

The Quills are a mysterious monastic order that serve the equally enigmatic Unum, a being who resides within the Orokin Tower at Cetus in the Plains of Eidolon. They have very close ties to the Ostron people who also praise the Unum, and are seemingly knowledgeable about the secrets of the Tenno. They are said to be able to divine the future, which combined with their information gathering prowess allows them to preemptively end threats to Cetus through their operatives.


The player will be able to ally with the Quills after completing both Saya's Vigil and The War Within quests and bringing their Operator to a cave in the north-east part of Cetus.

As a Syndicate, the Quills have their own Standing that can be exchanged for various rewards. Quill Standing can be earned solely by selling Sentient Cores to them, which can be obtained from Sentient enemies out on the Plains. The Quills are a neutral Syndicate, and gaining Standing with them will not affect a player's Standing with any other Syndicate.


Standing gain

To earn standing for the Quills, players must find and collect Sentient Cores dropped by Eidolon enemies (Eidolon Vomvalysts, Eidolon Teralysts, Eidolon Gantulysts, and Eidolon Hydrolysts), Lua's Battalysts and Conculysts (along with their decaying variants), and Sentient enemies (Brachiolysts, Symbilysts, Aerolysts, Conculysts, and Battalysts) in the Veil Proxima's Murexes which can then be traded in for standing. Fully-constructed Amps can also be traded into the Quills for standing, whether or not they have been gilded.

POE / CETUS ECONOMY REMASTER LITE

With Fortuna's release, we applied some general economy changes based on takeaways from Cetus. Now that we have returned to Cetus and the Plains of Eidolon with a remaster, we are applying some 'Economy Remaster' changes to go with the changes in an effort to apply our continued learnings. Change is the name of the game - thank you for all feedback on our economies and for being receptive to change!

  • Replaced Arcane Blueprints with Arcanes in Quills Offerings meaning that Arcanes no longer need to be built.
