Techrot Babau are durable, tripodal Techrot creatures with a number of abilities. They are largely found in Hell-Scrub missions after the infestation overtakes a Hell-Scrubber, though as a mission goes on they can spawn normally during Hell-Scrub missions involving the Techrot.

Behavior[]
- One ability has them swipe their tendrils forward, sending a fan of
Viral projectiles traveling along the ground.
- The projectiles can be destroyed.
- They can ram their tendrils into the ground, letting them sprout around the vicinity to flail around for a short moment.
- Finally, they may flail their tendrils in front of them, knocking targets back and down.
Damage Reduction[]
- Techrot Babau possess Damage Attenuation. This attenuation reduces incoming damage based on the damage dealt to the Babau in the past couple seconds, with more damage increasing the damage reduction the Babau receives.
- Damage Attenuation does not apply to Overguard.
- Techrot Babau have a damage cap of 175,000.
Notes[]
- Their tendrils each feature a bulbous growth that serves as an additional weak point.
- The life support dropped by a Babau is only half of what an intact Hell-Scrubber would give (15% opposed to 30%).
- They are completely immune to Toxin damage and its respective status effect. While players can still build up Toxin stacks, they will serve no purpose beyond priming for Condition Overload effects.
- Has immunity to Viral status.

- Made the following changes to the Techrot Babau to address player feedback on how difficult they were to defeat (especially on the Steel Path):
- Reduced the Health and Shields of the Techrot Babau by 25%.
- Known issue: Steel Path difficulty modifiers are applying twice on the Techrot Babau in Faceoff missions. We’ll have this fixed in the next Hotfix!
