Tactical Alerts are special Alert missions that feature unique challenges and enemies compared to traditional Alert missions. While Tactical Alerts appear for a limited time like normal alerts, they occupy their own unique mission node within a planet, and disappear only once their designated duration has expired, making them more similar to Events.

Mechanics

TacticalAlert

Example of an active Tactical Alert.

Unlike traditional Alert missions, Tactical Alerts can contain non-standard enemy compositions such as large numbers of advanced units or even multiple instances of boss units that make the opposition deadlier than usual. Additionally, Tactical Alerts feature so-called "Void Sensors" that places a maximum Conclave point limit that restricts players on the type of weapons and equipment they can carry, which forces the player to use underpowered equipment or incomplete loadouts.

Tactical Alerts also do not disappear after a single run; instead, each successful run of a Tactical Alert will grant points that accumulate with each subsequent run. The Tactical Alert is completed after a certain amount of points are acquired, which will then grant players the stated reward.

Additionally, after completion players have the option of running a Stratos Challenge, which is a more difficult version of the completed Tactical Alert with more powerful enemies and even lower Conclave point limits. Completing the Stratos Challenge has similar mechanics to the above, and will grant a Stratos Emblem (also known as a Tactical Specialist Emblem) upon the first completion, with subsequent completions changing the content of the badge each time a challenge is completed.

  • Multiple Hyena NG units are present during the mission.

Lore

  • Intro -

Tenno,

Frohd Bek continues to pursue his advanced Hyena program. We have just learned that a massive order of the elemental Fire Hyena model has just finished production. You must enter this facility and destroy these machines before they can be sent into the front lines.

Take note, this is not another straightforward extermination. This facility is equipped with a new kind of sensor, capable of detecting large signatures of void energy generated by more advanced Warframes. Any signs of a threat, the entire facility will be evacuated. To escape detection equip low powered frames and weapons.

I am counting on you Tenno.

Well done Tenno,

The Corpus will not easily recover from this loss. The cost of these machines should set them back significantly. However, I fear we may have infuriated Frohd Bek. This will have unforeseen consequences in the future.

  • Activating an Excavator will spawn a swarm of unique red Desert Skates around the Excavator. These Desert Skates feature increased durability and attack power, and are hostile to everyone in the area.

Lore

  • Intro -

Tenno,

Our operatives have detected an unusually rich Cryotic deposit in a remote region of the Phobos desert. Curiously, intelligence reveals that the Grineer base at this location is patrolled entirely by airborne Hellion troops rather than standard ground infantry. The Cryotic may have had unforeseen consequences on local wildlife. Proceed with caution.

Note that this will not be a standard excavation mission. as we encountered before, this base is equipped with sensors capable of detecting large signatures of Void energy generated by more advanced Warframes and weapons. With this radar in place, and the entire Grineer battalion capable of flight, their forces would overwhelm you in a matter of moments. Slip in under the radar Tenno, and recover that Cryotic... at any cost.

Well done Tenno, you have kept this vital resource out of the hands of the enemy. With most of our resources funneled into Project Archwing, I cannot offer you much for your service. Hopefully this will help in some way.

  • This alert features an unusually high number of Tech and Sniper Crewman Eximus units.
  • The Corpus Target features an energy drain property that gradually drains energy from Warframes in the vicinity, a range of 80m, at an alarmingly fast rate. Said target is also protected by three Shield Osprey Eximus that provide constant shield protection unless destroyed. Target and Eximus spawn at high levels--nearly double that of other enemies on map.
  • Player must capture 2 targets in this Tactical Alert. For each target captured the player will get one point. The points aren`t shareable, that means if one player from the squad will capture one target the rest of the teammates won`t get that point for capturing, so all teammates must capture their own targets to get their points. If the player didn`t succeeded to capture one of the targets the mission will fail but the player will still get one point for the captured target.

Lore

  • Intro -

Tenno,

The locations of numerous high-profile Corpus war criminals have been revealed in the vicinity of Europa. Regrettably, this information has come at a high price; our operatives were discovered at the conclusion of their infiltration mission and executed by the enemy. These agents are now expecting an attack and have recruited mercenary snipers to protect them. You must arrive at their location undetected and bring these criminals to justice. Don't let any of them escape.

Good luck,

- The Lotus
  • Success -

Well done Tenno. You have brought an end to the treachery of many Corpus war criminals. The sacrifices made by our scouts have not been in vain. Take this as a reward for your assistance today, hopefully this will help in some way.

Trivia

  • Tactical Alerts were introduced in Update 14.2.4 as a permanent addition to Warframe.
  • The Avalanche Offensive of Update 14.2 functioned very similarly to Tactical Alerts, likely because it was an early test of their implementation.
    • This may indicate that an Avalanche Offensive could return as a future Tactical Alert.
