The Syam is a Duviri Nikana wielded by Dax Gladius. Its unique Heavy Attacks send out fast Heat shockwaves, cutting down foes at a long distance.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals primarily Slash and Puncture damage.
- Stance slot has polarity, matching Decisive Judgement, Tranquil Cleave, and Blind Justice stance.
- Unique Heavy Attacks releases shockwaves that travel up to 70 meters and pierces targets.
- The first Heavy Attack releases a roughly 8 meter wide horizontal shockwave that deals 500 Heat damage with a forced Impact proc.
- The second Heavy Attack releases a narrow vertical shockwave that deals 1500 Heat damage.
- Shockwaves share the same status chance and critical as the normal attacks.
- Shockwave damage is affected by melee damage mods, Condition Overload, elemental mods, and Melee Combo.
- Heat damage will combine with other elements as expected.
- The shockwave can travel over obstacles wide enough to accomodate it, including uneven terrain and staircases.
- The shockwave only occurs when the Syam is wielded by Warframes, not the Drifter.
- Blocking can reflect projectiles back to the enemy firing them.
Drifter Combat[]
- Power Strike (blocking + heavy attack, default RMB + MMB ) releases two spinning slashes in quick succession, inflicting Lifted.
Advantages over other Melee weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
- High total damage (270)
- High status chance (34.00%)
Disadvantages over other Melee weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
- Low disposition (●●○○○ (0.75x))
See WARFRAME Wiki:Stat Comparison/Percentiles for more details.

Notes[]
- Unlike other Nikanas, the Syam does not force proc Slash on a heavy attack. Slide heavy attacks function as per normal and will proc slash.
Bugs[]
- Condition Overload is multiplicative to base damage sources like Pressure Point on the heavy attack wave.
- When used on a Warframe, the sheath is heavily off center and causes the blade to clip through it. This applies to both the base skin and most alternate skins applied to it.
