Surging Blades is a Warframe Augment Mod for 
Yareli's 
Aquablades that allows her to recast the ability while active to throw a single piercing blade dealing damage and a guaranteed 
Slash status effect in a small radius. The bubble's damage accumulates when any Aquablade directly hits an enemy.

Acquisition[]
- This mod can be acquired by attaining the rank of Genius under Cephalon Suda, or the rank of Flawless under New Loka, and spending
25,000 to purchase.
Notes[]
- The thrown bubble has infinite body punch through and deals damage in about a 4m diameter, with a guaranteed Slash status effect on hit.
- Throwing the bubble does not prematurely end the ability.
- The accumulated damage boost affects only the thrown blade and not the orbiting blades around the Warframe.
- However, the damage boost can be accumulated by both the rotating and thrown blades.
- The accumulated bonus damage is displayed together with an Aquablades icon on the player's buffs UI.
- The rate of damage increase is a flat additive 10% of the starting damage of Aquablades, and this 10% rate is not increased by Ability Strength mods; however, since the starting damage is affected by Ability Strength, the accumulated rate of damage increase per thrown blade is still better with higher Strength mod builds.
- The accumulated damage will expire once the blades around the Warframe expire.
- The throw costs 15 energy, affected by Ability Efficiency.
- While riding Merulina, the throw consumes 0 energy.

- Throwing range and splash area of effect are not affected by Ability Range.
- The speed of the throwing animation is increased while riding Merulina and with Natural Talent.
- Has a hidden synergy with the Kompressa where Surging Blades can be shot into Kompressa's bubble clusters before they pop. The bubble grows to about 3m in diameter and pulses damage once per second over 20 seconds (not affected by Ability Duration). Up to ten of these bubbles can be created at a time.
- These bubbles will inherit the current accumulated damage bonus.
- Enemies hit by the damage pulses will also increase the current damage bonus, but the damage of each bubble is fixed at the time of its creation; any increased damage bonus will be applied to new bubbles.
Tips[]
- A Duration-based build allows the Aquablades user to stack much more damage while spamming Surging Blades.
- Narrow Minded is a viable option for such above build, as its Ability Range penalty has no effect on a blade's AoE splash range.
- Yareli benefits even further from this build, as riding Merulina allows her to spam thrown blades at zero energy cost and racking up damage in the process. She can even forego of Efficiency builds and instead build on Ability Strength (such as by equipping Blind Rage) to further amplify her blades.
- Due to their damage revolving around Slash, the thrown blades are noticeably more effective on Infested and Grineer enemies, and less so on shielded Corpus.
- Due to having infinite body punch through, the blade has great synergy with Magnetize.

- Fixed Grendel being able to fire primary weapons in Pulverize after casting Aquablades with the Surging Blades Augment equipped.
Update 35.5 (2024-03-27)
- Removed mention of needing to ride Merulina in the Surging Blades Augment description to indicate it can be used with the new Loyal Merulina Augment.
- Now reads: “Activate Aquablades when the ability is in use or cooldown to throw one blade. [...] No cost to throw with Merulina.”

- Fixed the Surging Blades Augment allowing the use of regular weapons during Hildryn’s Aegis Storm when used on a Helminth-infused Hildryn.

Hotfix 31.1.2 (2022-02-10)
- Updated Yareli’s Surging Blades Augment description for clarity:
- Was: Press 3 to hurl a single Aquablade, which gains 10% damage per enemy hit by your Aquablades. No cost to throw while riding Merulina.
- Now: Activate Aquablades while active or during cooldown to hurl a single blade. Thrown blades gain 10% damage when any Aquablade hits an enemy. No cost to throw while riding Merulina.
- Fixed Lavos and Hildryn infused with Aquablades being unable to throw the disk with the Surging Blades Augment equipped because they don’t use Energy.
- Lavos can now throw the projectile on a cooldown and Hildryn using her Shields.
