Strain Consume is a Warframe set mod that restores a small portion of health for every maggot that dies within 5 meters of the Warframe.

Set Bonus[]

This mod is part of a set, whose set bonus increases with each additional mod equipped from that set.

Strain Set: The Helminth Charger grows cysts every X seconds that erupt every 25 seconds to spawn a maggot that seeks out and attacks enemies.

Notes[]

  • As Strain Consume's health restoration is percentage-based, Warframes with high Health pools (such as InarosIcon272 Inaros) will see a greater benefit from this mod.
  • Assuming all Strain Mods are fully ranked and equipped, a Warframe can recover up to 32% of their maximum health should the maggots die within range.

Bugs[]

  • The mod description when viewing the mod via an item link states "Increased Pistol Ammo recovery." which does not apply to this mod.
  • Currently only Maggots created by the Mod Set Bonus grant Health as they are the only ones to leave corpses behind that can be consumed.

Hotfix 37.0.4 (2024-10-10)

  • Fixed a crash caused by Strain Set mods.
  • Fixed script error caused by Maggots spawned from the Strain Set Mods.

Hotfix 37.0.2 (2024-10-03)

  • Fixed indefinitely stacking unintended amount of Health from a combination of the Strain Consume mod and any of the following: Helminth Charger, Nidus Maggots and Pathocyst.
  • Fixed script error with Strain mod set.

  • Strain set effect: Maggots are now created with their AI fully aware, which removes a pause they needed to wake up.

  • Strain Consume: Increases your maximum Health by 4% and regenerates 2 Health per second, per Maggot that dies within 10 meters. Buff lasts 45 seconds.

  • Optimized the Strain Consume Mod; even on a good PC it could cost 2.5ms in large levels (especially Railjack) and more if the mission ran long (eg: Survival).
