Modifies how fast a Warframe moves.

—In-game Description

Sprint Speed is a Warframe attribute that determines how fast a Warframe moves while sprinting as well as the base walking speed.

Mechanics[]

Sprint Speed is treated internally as a multiplier to the Warframe's walk/run animation speed, similar to how Attack Speed is a multiplier on how fast melee attack animations play; the larger the value, the faster the Warframe walks/sprints. It can also affect the speed of other Maneuvers if done immediately after sprinting as they will inherit the momentum gained from walking/sprinting. Any Movement Speed buff also increases sprinting speed.

At a base Sprint Speed of 1.0, most Warframes will sprint at a speed of ~7.1 m/s. A 0.05 increase or decrease in Sprint Speed will change that by ± 0.3 m/s. Increasing or decreasing the base Sprint Speed using mods or through other sources will not change the base walking speed, only modifying the sprint animation speed. For example, an unmodded GaussIcon272.png Gauss has a base Sprint Speed stat of 1.4 and will walk faster than a MesaIcon272.png Mesa equipped with Mod TT 20px.png Rush (1.43 Sprint Speed). However, they will share similar running speeds. Additionally, an unmodded GaussIcon272.png Gauss will walk the same speed as GaussIcon272.png Gauss with Mod TT 20px.png Rush.

Sprinting increases a Warframe's speed by ~22% from walking.

It has no direct affect on bullet jump, sliding, and wall-hopping speed.

Increasing Sprint Speed[]

Note that bonuses to Sprint Speed may not affect movement speed while under certain abilities that prevent players from sprinting such as GrendelIcon272.png Grendel's Pulverize130xDark.png Pulverize and WukongIcon272.png Wukong's CloudWalker130xDark.png Cloud Walker. Bonuses to movement speed may however, but not always.

Increasing Movement Speed[]

Movement speed buffs will increase how fast a Warframe moves while sprinting (but not the Sprint Speed stat itself) since the Sprint Speed modifier applies to movement speed.
