Every living being longs to be whole. Every living thing yearns to defy death. If from death you returned, yet the part you loved best did not… what then?
—Sigor Savah's last words to Smokefinger

Sigor Savah was a Venusian researcher who defected from the IconCorpusOn Corpus after discovering KhoraIcon272 Khora's Venari130xWhite Venari Kavat.

Lore & History[]

General[]

Sigor Savah was a Morphology Specialist that worked under Nef Anyo's Venusian terraforming expedition. He was tasked with decoding the IconOrokinOn Orokin gene record of the Vallis, cataloging and assessing whatever specimens were uncovered as Venus sprang back to life.

Discovering Specimen VK-7[]

Venari - Specimen VK-7

During one of his studies, Sigor came across a unique specimen of Orokin-era fauna; an unusually large kavat that was found fully intact inside a sealed closet, it's body frozen for millennia. Labeled as Specimen VK-7, Sigor returned to his lab with the kavat's body, As he was preparing for a surgical dissection, the kavat had somehow willed itself back to life.

Sigor would soon learn that VK-7 was not simply a mere kavat; it possessed a unique series of atypical behavioral characteristics. Kept in a cage within his lab, Sigor noticed that whenever a visitor came by, VK-7 would study their habits. Eventually, she came to anticipate regular arrivals, having memorized their schedules.

One day, after his fourth shift, Sigor entered his lab and noticed that VK-7's cage was empty. Reports soon returned of numerous Infestation w Infested hive sites that were found destroyed, and that a large beast was sited at others. Sigor would attempt to join up with a IconCorpusOn Corpus team deployed to a nearby hive, but when he arrived, he found that the entire team and hive were slain by the kavat. Before he was able to flee, he was blocked by VK-7. Discouraging him from calling for backup, the beast revealed her wounded side to him as an act of trust. Placing loyalty above profit, Sigor found himself tending to VK-7's wounds.

After the incident, VK-7 managed to infiltrate his lab without raising any alarms or alerting any of the guards. In her jaws, she held a severed, fossilized hand, and left without a sound, leaving the hand behind. Sigor began to analyze the hand, and discovered that it was part of an IconOrokinOn Orokin-made Warframe, one Anyo Corp had no record of in any of their treatise. Sigor soon began to extract a working blueprint of the warframe, who's name was KhoraIcon272 Khora.

The Corpus, naming VK-7 as the Horror of the Hives, deemed the creature a threat unworthy of study, and declared that it was to be destroyed in its lair. Sigor would attempt to rescue her by using a canister of animal tranquilizer to stun the incoming hunting party. However, their respirators easily dealt with the gas, and he was promptly detained.

For his betrayal, Sigor was imprisoned and interrogated on everything he knew about Specimen VK-7, and soon was sentenced to be executed. As he closed his eyes, about to be shot in the head, VK-7 would then arrive, and saved him from execution. Knowing both of them could no longer stay on Venus, the pair fled for a conveyor bound for a nearby orbiting Rail tractor, but the Corpus had caught up to them. Giving the scientist one final glance, VK-7 activated the conveyor and lunged at her pursuers, sacrificing herself and sending Sigor into orbit.

Now a "better man than a scientist", Sigor would then dedicate his life to searching for Khora's remains. He found out later that her fused body was found intact, within the Orokin terraforming complex on Venus. However, she was shipped offworld by a notorious Solaris Rail agent (presumably Little Duck), who vanished right after.

On the Plains of Eidolon[]

Believing that Khora's remains were taken to the Plains of Eidolon, Sigor promptly left for Earth, leaving his journal logs in the care of his friend, Konzu. Sigor would reside within the Plains for many years, and would eventually meet Master Teasonai, mentoring him in his craft of beast-taming.

Khora's blueprints would then be donated to the Sanctuary of Cephalon Simaris by a member of TheQuillsSigil The Quills. Shortly after, one of the cephalon's Sentinels found and synthesized Specimen VK-7, who appeared to have desired capture. However, the kavat immediately disappeared alongside Khora's blueprints, much to the chagrin of Simaris. He states that her presence can often be detected during Sanctuary Onslaught, and that waits for a worthy Tenno to claim Khora's parts.

Sigor would soon gain an interest in studying the IconGrineerOn Grineer Ghouls, and would conduct interviews with the OstronSigil Ostron locals, who had became victims of the Ghouls' raids and disruptions. As a former researcher, he documented their behavior and ferocity in his notes. These notes were left behind after Sigor mysteriously vanished from the Plains one day.

A large amount of time has passed since his disappearance, and it is unknown if Sigor is still alive in the Origin System

Trivia[]
