Intact Sentient Core	Exceptional Sentient Core	Flawless Sentient Core

Sentient Cores are Sentient objects that can be traded in for Standing with The Quills in Cetus. Intact Sentient Cores are dropped by Eidolon Vomvalysts while Exceptional Sentient Cores are dropped by Eidolon Teralysts, Eidolon Gantulysts and Eidolon Hydrolysts on the Plains of Eidolon, one for each Teralyst Synovia that is destroyed. They appear as white and blue orbs that float above the ground, lit up by a blue aura that makes them more visible, and marked with HUD icons much like Ayatan Stars. A Flawless Sentient Core is dropped upon successfully capturing (not defeating) a Teralyst, Gantulyst and Hydrolyst while it is tethered by the required amount of Eidolon Lures; both the Shards and the Flawless Core will be dropped by the Lures upon self-destruction, not by the Eidolon itself.

The Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion, a reusable Blueprint to upgrade Intact Sentient Cores to Exceptional ones, is available as an Offering from The Quills that costs 500 Standing 500.

Since update Update 22.13 (2018-02-15) both Intact Sentient Cores and Exceptional Sentient Cores can drop from Battalysts, Conculysts and their decaying variants. This allows for progression with the Quills outside of the Plains of Eidolon.

Redeeming these Cores will gain Standing with The Quills and they are also used as a sacrifice for ranking up with them as well. Each Intact grants 100 Standing 100, each Exceptional grants 500 Standing 500, and each Flawless grants 1,200 Standing 1,200.

Intact Sentient Cores are used to craft certain items from the foundry, such as the Phantasma(10), Revenant's chassis(10) and neuroptics(15)
