Liset Mantis Nightwave Parallax Scimitar Xiphos

The Scimitar is a Landing Craft, which can serve as an alternative transportation choice to the Liset. It comes with the Carpet Bomb Ability, dropping bombs in a line from the player's position to their Air Support Charge's position.

The Scimitar landed in Update 18.0 (2015-12-03).

The component blueprints can be dropped by Assassin-type enemies, with the Fuselage dropping from the Grustrag Three, the Engines dropping from Stalker and Shadow Stalker, and the Avionics dropping from Zanuka Hunter. Skins[]

Scimitar Skins can be applied through the Equipment > Orbiter > Landing Craft > Livery option. These skins do not consume decoration capacity.

Notes[]

  • The barrage deals 250 DmgImpactSmall64.png Impact damage.
  • The explosions of the barrage will Knockdown and Ragdoll most enemies (more testing is needed).

Trivia[]

  • The Scimitar appears to resemble a manta ray or stingray. Alternatively, the Scimitar may have been inspired by stealth bombers such as the B-2 Spirit, both in form and function.
    • Additionally, the Scimitar has unique flying sound effects that are much quieter than other Landing Crafts' sound effects. This falls in line with its stealth bomber aesthetics.
  • In the game files, the Scimitar is known as the "Blue Sky Ship."
  • On the key art used for the loading screen of Update 31, a pair of Scimitars can be seen firing projectiles on the left side of the scene, suggesting that the ship has weapon capabilities other than bombs.
