Scan Aquatic Lifeforms is a precept mod for  Oxylus that displays Fishing Hotspots and apply Luminous Dye on nearby fish. Hotspots are shown with a red fish icon on the map.

Acquisition

Scan Aquatic Lifeforms is automatically acquired upon obtaining  Oxylus.

Notes

• Only the player who owns the Oxylus can see the hotspot icons and illuminated fish.

Trivia

• Prior to Update 24.2 (2018-12-18), this mod was originally called 'Scan Lifeforms' and increased the number of active conservation encounters.

Bugs

• If this mod and  Animal Instinct are equipped together, Animal Instinct may take priority and Scan Aquatic Lifeforms will not activate. The reverse can also happen, where Animal Instinct doesn't activate instead.

• Fixed Scan Aquatic Lifeforms Mod sometimes not revealing fish on Orb Vallis and Plains of Eidolon. As reported here!

• Fixed cases of the Scan Aquatic Lifeforms Mod not working, such as after dismounting from a K-Drive.

Update 24.2 (2018-12-18)

• The Oxylus ‘Scan Lifeform’ Mod has been changed to ‘Scan Aquatic Lifeforms’. It now reveals the location of hotspots within Xm and applies Luminous Dye to fish within Xm.
