- Does little benefit to Arch-guns with infinite punch through such as the
Fluctus and the
Cortege, save for the bonus damage.
Tips[]
- Highly recommended on Arch-guns that use high-explosive rounds such as the
Grattler (
Kuva) or very large rounds such as the
Corvas (
Prime) so they can maximize their crowd control potential by hitting as many enemies as possible.
- The
Larkspur's overall DPS also improves with Sabot Rounds, as the mod allows the gun's energy beam to chain through more enemies similar to how the
Atomos or
Tenet Cycron benefits with punch through mods.
Trivia[]
- A sabot is the term for padding used around bullets or artillery shells of smaller caliber to the gun barrel they are going to be loaded into, ensuring they still get the maximum potential kinetic energy once they exit the muzzle.
- Curiously, the mod's image shows a Rhino wielding a Gravimag-loaded
Fluctus, which is an Arch-gun that already has infinite punch through.
- Sabot Rounds is the first, and currently the only, Arch-gun mod that provides punch through.
