Dragon Key Blueprints are obtained through the [[Clan Dojo]]'s Orokin Lab. When carried in the gear, the key produces a debuff to the player's Warframe, and the key is consumed upon unlocking the vault. It is possible to equip all four keys simultaneously but all their debuffs will stack, but it is generally easier to play with a full squad where each Tenno carries an individual key.

As infestation spread across the Solar System, Orokin Ships were unable to make the jump to the Void and locked down Vault rooms to preserve the valuable artifacts within. A number of these Orokin Vaults have been located in the Orokin Derelicts.

The Orokin Vaults (otherwise known as The Golden Door by the Ostrons) are special vaults found in the Orokin Derelict, which require a unique void key to unlock, called a Dragon Key. There are four types of Dragon Keys, and opening an Orokin Vault will require the player to have a matching Dragon Key equipped in one of their gear slots. Corrupted mods are awarded for successfully retrieving a corrupted artifact from an Orokin Vault and delivering it to extraction. All Orokin Derelict missions, except for Defense and Assassination, always contain exactly one vault, with the required key to open it being randomized.

The Excalibur Prime statue over the Corrupted Artifact

Dragon Key Blueprints are obtained through the Clan Dojo's Orokin Lab. When carried in the gear, the key produces a debuff to the player's Warframe, and the key is consumed upon unlocking the vault. It is possible to equip all four keys simultaneously but all their debuffs will stack, but it is generally easier to play with a full squad where each Tenno carries an individual key.

Inside these vaults appears a very large, all white and aged Excalibur PrimeIcon272 Excalibur Prime statue that resides on the far wall with hands outstretched, between which is the artifact, similar to the type found in the old Raid missions and currently used on Alert Defense missions. It only takes one player to remove the artifact, the other players in the squad will be awarded its contents upon extraction.

When removing the artifact from the vault, the artifact inflicts a random Dragon Key penalty on the Warframe who picked it up. Furthermore, the Corrupted will appear, replacing all enemies spawned beyond this point, in an attempt to stop the Tenno from leaving with the artifact.
