• The Nikana Prime was originally released in July 2015 on the Chinese build of Warframe, along with Excalibur Umbra and Spira Prime.
• The Nikana Prime was unintentionally leaked in the Codex following Hotfix 18.4.7 (2016-02-04).
• Although DERedText claimed that the Nikana Prime was an upgraded version of the Dragon Nikana, this weapon is only able to equip the Ymir-Form Gemini Nikana Sheath, which is reserved for the standard Nikana.
