Nikana Prime is Vaulted.
The Void Relics for this item have been removed from the drop tables and do not drop during missions at this time. Check the current Prime Resurgence rotation to see if Varzia offers relics for this item. Vaulted Void Relics already contained in player inventories are not affected and can still be either opened or traded between players.

An ancient blade predating the fall of the Orokin Empire. Forged using techniques lost over the centuries, the edge remains sharper than that of any modern Nikana.

The Nikana Prime is the Primed variant of the Nikana Nikana, acting as a direct upgrade even above the DragonNikana Dragon Nikana. It was released alongside Saryn PrimeIcon272 Saryn Prime and SpiraPrime Spira Prime.

Vaultings[]

  • On December 6th, 2017, it was announced that Nikana Prime would enter the Prime Vault and its relics retired from the drop tables on December 12th, 2017, along with Saryn PrimeIcon272 Saryn Prime and SpiraPrime Spira Prime. Any preexisting components or fully-built weapons will remain as is.

Trivia[]

  • The Nikana Prime was originally released in July 2015 on the Chinese build of Warframe, along with Excalibur Umbra Prime and SpiraPrime Spira Prime. The Specters of the Rail update made the Nikana Prime and the Spira Prime obtainable by non-Founders.
  • The Nikana Prime was unintentionally leaked in the Codex following Hotfix 18.4.7 (2016-02-04).
  • When equipped with the Conclave Nikana Skin, the strip of cloth remains visible, but is moved to the base of the hilt.
  • As of Update: Specters of the Rail 0.0 (2016-07-08), the default cloth ornament at the end of the hilt is considered a Sugatra and detachable in favor of another. However, there is no current option to have no Sugatra equipped.
  • The Nikana Prime makes use of Nikana Riven mods and not Dragon Nikana Riven mods, and because the Dragon Nikana has a much higher riven disposition it can generate such mods with higher stats than the Prime variant.
  • The Nikana Prime's shape and signature red Sugatra is reminiscent of the হেংডাং (Hengdang), a singled edged sword used in the northeastern Indian state of Assam.
