Nexifera are bizzare, Infested lifeforms that reside in the Cambion Drift. They can be found in the wild or tracked down as a Conservation activity. There are currently 3 subspecies of Nexifera.
General[]
Nexifera are semi-passive predators that can be found during both Vome and Fass cycles, embedded in the ceilings of caves. A small puddle of greenish bile forms on the ground beneath them, which often attracts Cryptilex, their most common prey.
Whenever something passes underneath them or disturbs the puddle, the Nexifera will drop from above and attack, then retract back to the ceiling with their fibrous tethers. Nexifera possess a keratin shell on their underbellies, which is impervious to tranq shots. Only their soft tendrils are vulnerable; once tranquilized, they will fall to the floor unconscious.
Subspecies[]
A common Nexifera subspecies. Like all other Nexifera, they tend to flee from larger creatures.
When captured via Conservation, they will reward the following:
Perfect | Good | Bad |
---|---|---|
3x Amethyst Nexifera Tag | 2x Amethyst Nexifera Tag | 1x Amethyst Nexifera Tag |
A rare Nexifera subspecies. Viridian Nexifera possess gas ducts in their abdomen that allow them to produce clouds of poison upon striking the ground.
When captured via Conservation they will reward the following:
Perfect | Good | Bad |
---|---|---|
3x Viridian Nexifera Tag | 2x ViridianNexifera Tag | 1x ViridianNexifera Tag |
A very rare Nexifera subspecies. Due to the strength, Scarlet Nexifera are able to cause seismic shockwaves upon impacting with the ground.
When captured via Conservation they will reward the following:
Perfect | Good | Bad |
---|---|---|
3x Scarlet Nexifera Tag | 2x Scarlet Nexifera Tag | 1x Scarlet Nexifera Tag |
Trivia[]
- Nexifera have a similar appearance to the large Infested growths summoned by Nidus's 4th ability, Ravenous.

Patch History[]
Hotfix 29.5.3 (2020-11-23)
- Increased chance of rarer Nexifera:
- Common ~67%->56%
- Uncommon ~23%->28%
- Rare 10%->17%
- Only one Nexifera spawns at a time, and because they don't have Vome/Fass restrictions like some of the other animal variants this effectively diluted the table if you were hunting for a specific one. This will provide a bit more variety!
Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- Introduced.
