I have a question to ask you and the other admins of this wiki, if you're willing to share your thoughts. As you're probably aware, Fandom is preparing to move all wikis onto a new community platform and part of that process is the upcoming migration of your forums to Discussions.
Now, it's not quite time for that yet. We'll share more information and there will be some improvements to Discussions before anything gets migrated.
However, your community's forums stand out among the 2,000 or so remaining forum communities because it has an uncommonly high percentage of people who post anonymously. Why do you think that is? Do you feel like the posts you receive from anonymous users are generally just as productive and welcome as the ones from logged-in users?
Discussions does not currently allow anonymous users to post. That means, once your forums have been migrated to Discussions, the users who don't have accounts would either have to log in or could no longer post. Do you think the community could lose valuable people and conversations due to this?
On article's comment sections more so though. Users that don't edit commonly 1.) point out mistakes or new changes that need to be reflected on a page or 2.) ask questions regarding missing information. This is done regularly by both users with and without account without any noticeable difference in quality. This takes place mostly by nature of the wiki being practically necessary to understanding large parts of the game's mechanics, which are ever changing.
Message Walls are already pretty useless for anonymous users, since their messages do not generate notifications over there. So this won't change much.
So you'd say Discussions not allowing anonymous posts isn't a big problem for your community?
For article comments I have good news: They're already live on the UCP and do allow for anonymous posts. So no change there.
Message Walls don't allow anonymous messages on the UCP yet, but will likely allow it later - mainly for cases where a user is blocked, feels the block is unfair and needs a way to reach out to the admin without violating more rules by creating a new account.
Most of the boards in the forum are non-essential to the Wiki. The only two that are important and see a lot of productive use from anons are the Q&A and Wiki Discussion boards. However, both of those can easily be emulated by comment sections (and /d/ for the registered), so losing them won't be a problem.
Unfortunately, we will be losing our Clan Recruitment and Feedback and Ideas boards which do receive a decent amount of traffic. The F&I board is a fun place for both registered users and anons to interact and share opinions, though Digital Extremes doesn't visit there. And the Clan Recruitment board has become a pretty big way for clans to find new members, so they might be impacted the most by the changes.
I'm sure a work-around for both cases, and other boards like General Discussion, can be made, though suggestions on how to do so would help.
Also, you mentioned anons would not be able to post messages on walls initially. Why is that? Is it a purposeful decision, or just a result of the migration process. And why don't anons create notifications currently?
Can you explain what you mean by losing these two boards? When your forums are migrated to Discussions, all boards with all their existing threads will move to Discussions, so you shouldn't lose them. You just lose the ability to post in them anonymously.
Message Walls are based on the same technology as Discussions on the UCP, so the code does not out of the box support anonymous posting. It's something we have to deliberately add back in, and that has just not happened yet.
Are you asking why anonymous users don't get message wall notifications or why their messages don't generate notifications for those whose walls they post on?
Maybe lost was the wrong wording. I'm worried they will become too inactive without anons, especially the recruitment board. Again, they aren't Wiki essential though.
Also, is this migration going to actually migrate the boards (past forum posts and all) to Discussions, or just create a new blank forum? That's probably answered in the blog posts, but I haven't had a chance to read them yet, sorry.
I don't have any idea how to contact an admisnitstrator or a moderator. Do you think is it fair i continue to be harassed and insulted by some users without any reason and overall instigating other people to do the same?
Ah, thanks. I didn't think of checking the discussion-section.
While your initial attempts at conversation were nothing outright malicious, the reserved responses are understandable. Since then you insulted the game, the general player-base, the people you are trying to hold a conversation with, and their intelligence, while maintaining a slightly arrogant attitude. They don't like to be spoke to like that. Neither do I like to see it.
Consider yourself warned for your "general toxic behavior". Greetings.
Clearly you didn't read all the fucking messages i wrote and being harrassesd from the beginning by these 2 disgusting people. i don't understand where i "offended" the game i don't even know if i am talking with an adult.
BTW Don't worry i will never write on this trash site anymore, i don't have time to lose. I am only sorry i gave my little contribute i will probably remove. Have a nice day with your "job".
if this is how you treat people here good luck and adios.
I don't see the option to delete my account, my email and all my confidential datas. Do i have to call my lawyer or what?
I continue to receive emails despite i turned it off. Just to let you know, you are just a pathetice being and more pathetic is this moderator clearly being your friend hiding your childish and toxic behaviour. i am ashamed to subscribe to this site and for your mom having a retard for son. Have a nice day and sorry for your miserable life.
Waridiot, this is exactly the type of behavior and interaction Hennils was referring to. Also, Ladyvan, let's try to not escalate the situation with more replies.
A message wall is a fine place to contact an admin or mod, though response times vary. If you want more immediate reactions you can ping an admin on the Warframe Wiki Discord.
That being said, if you truly wish to close your current account you can request that FANDOM do it for you here.
Alternatively, if you do not wish to lose your account entirely you can remove yourself from the situation by simply not interacting with those that you've listed. You can also disable email notifications by going to your Preferences, navigating to the Email tab, checking the "Disable all emails from FANDOM (overrides all other options)" box, and deleting your email address from the Address section. Make sure to press Save at the bottom of the page. You should see a little green check appear at the top of the page telling you your preferences have been save. This may take a little while to take effect.
I'd also like to suggest no one else besides Hennils and Waridiot interact with this thread further. If Waridiot or Hennils have nothing else productive to say then Hennils will just close it. No need to continue something that a mod has practically already made a decision on.
My name is 343. I'm a global discussions moderator for FANDOM. I have come across your Wiki and discussions and I must say, it's very impressive. Your discussions platform is very active and that's brilliant. At the moment, I can see that moderators are active within discussions but there is a backlog of over 1700 reports and the backlog has been there quite a while. I had a little look through some of them and there's definately things that need attention. Such as spam, aggression etc.
We'd love to get involved and help, clear the backlog and act as additional community builders/moderators.
Thanks for contacting us here and on our Discord. It is true we haven't taken much care of them but we should be able to go through all of them somewhat quickly now that you notified us of them. Thanks again for your intervention but really, you don't have to bother yourself, we'll do it on our own.
Hello! I have a question - I noticed you have recently added various in-game images to the page describing Vasca Kavat. Is there a specific way you acquire those pictures? I know of the method described by [DE]Drew here, but I can't find the new pet armors/patterns there, which led me to think the website is not updated anymore...
Hey! My name is Atvelonis, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for the WARFRAME Wiki as well as an admin on Elder Scrolls. Just wanted to say that in this module the data for Hildryn and her abilities is missing. I saw that you are the only one who edit it... sooo i dont want to touch it because you are an adminstrator as well :)
Have a great day and thank you for your great work in this wiki.
Joy, you are completely allowed to edit that page. Flai was the only one to edit it thus far because he set it up, but it is meant to be updated by anyone, including yourself. Don't feel the need to halt your contributions just because a page was edited mostly by admins/mods.
Thanks for the response... yeah i'm already on the discord and used it like you said few days ago but since two-three days i have connection problems with discord in general = can't even start the app so i used the message wall.
Normally i add/edit everything myself but that was the first time I saw a page only edited by an admin, just wanted to be sure.
How are you? I'm bureaucrat and administrator of Warframe Wiki PT-BR (yeah the portuguese version for your wiki)... we are trying to be update with all content and things... so i need one thing... i have a request if you guys can share the media (photos and all content in media) to our wiki https://warframe.fandom.com/pt-br/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki_PT-BR if we get the admin aproval we can ask Fandom to allow us to use photos/media/any thing that is already in the main wiki... that will free a lot of work for us... so if we put a name of file that is already in the main wiki... we don't need to upload it again... also it save storage and so on...
Thank you in advance!

I have nothing against it. Just, I wanted to know the existance of this option before... Can I request the same type of treatment in the Italian Wiki? I no longer update it but it can still be useful for future editors.
