Manifold Bond is a Robotic Companion mod that allows the companion's abilities to inflict Status Effects from their equipped weapon. In addition, killing enemies afflicted by a certain number of status effects will reduce the cooldown of the companion's abilities.

Acquisition

The mod can be bought from Master Teasonai for 20,000 Standing 20,000 after reaching Rank 3 - Trusted with the Ostrons.

Notes

• When a Companion uses a Precept that affects an enemy, all Damage Types, modded or innate, are inflicted as Status Effects on the enemy at one stack.
  • For example, a MOA is equipped with  Shockwave Actuators and a  Deth Machine Rifle modded for  Gas and  Cold. When it uses Shockwave Actuators, all enemies hit by the shockwave are inflicted with one stack of  Gas,  Cold,  Impact,  Puncture, and  Slash.
  • Melee attacks from  Hard Engage count as using a Precept. However, only Damage Types that are modded on to the weapon are inflicted, and are not guaranteed to proc on every hit -- the hidden Status Chance of Hard Engage is likely used.
    • For example, if the MOA had a  Cryotra modded for  Blast, Hard Engage would only proc  Heat, ignoring the Cryotra's innate  Cold.
  • Status effects that proc from the Area of Effect damage component will not be counted.
  • Elements generated via  Momentous Bond will also apply to Companion Precepts.
• Applied status effects that can deal damage are not affected by mods or the base damage of the companion weapon. They will deal 1 damage per damage tick.
• Status effect duration is not increased by the companion's equipped status duration mods.
• Works with every hit of Eximus auras copied by  Null Audit.
• The cooldown reduction of companion abilities does not include:
  •  Negate from  Wyrm
  • The cooldown on cloaking on  Ghost from  Shade.

Bugs

• Impact status effect may not be inflicted even if it is present on the Companion's weapon.

• Fixed Manifold Bond triggering from Status damage instead of from killing enemies as intended.

Hotfix 35.5.2 (2024-03-28)

• Fixed a script error occurring from a combination of the Manifold Bond and Electro Pulse Mods.

Hotfix 34.0.7 (2023-11-02)

• The following Companion Precept Mods now benefit from Manifold Bond:
  • Diriga’s Electro Pulse
  • Djinn’s Fatal Attraction
  • The ability cooldown effect from Manifold Bond already applied to Fatal Attraction, but not its Status Effect application to Companion weapons, so now it properly and wholly benefits from the Mod.

• Fixed case where Hounds would not attack or move if they had any of the new Bond Mods equipped.
• Fixed getting some small one-time Affinity popups when first loading into a mission with certain Bond Mods equipped.
