The Legacyte is a 
Techrot Field Boss unit which serves as the main objective of the Legacyte Harvest mission. Described as the "Primitive Techrot Hivequeen", the Legacyte preserves its own survivability by instantly gestating to replenish its numbers while evolving and growing more powerful, at the cost of starving the Techrot of its resources.
Behavior[]
After spawning, the Legacyte will attack players with its abilities listed below. Once it reaches half health, it will flee towards a Techrot Umbilix (which resembles an Esophage) which can be destroyed; if the Legacyte escapes, the mission will fail, or will force prompt extraction if at least one Legacyte has been harvested.
Legacytes start out with the Eximus version of 
Snow Globe, as well as one random ability listed below, with each new generation acquiring one more random ability in addition to those of the previous:
Tharros Strike to push players back.- Aquablades, which deal heavy Slash damage with a guaranteed proc.
- Molt, casting it as soon as it notices a player.
- Smoke Screen removing its waypoint until the invisibility wears off.
- Generating burrowing spikes on a targeted player, akin to a similar attack used by Deimos Jugulus.
- Shooting electrical arcs at the player akin to Shock.
- Virulence.
- Parasitic Link.
- A conal shockwave with similar appearance to those of Blitz Eximus. Can be fired up to three times in a row.
- Appearing with two fragile decoys, which seek out foes.
- Teleporting to a nearby spot, leaving a lightning trail.
- Blood Altar, which temporarily disables the player's Warframe.
- Spectral Scream, cycling between Heat, Cold, and Gas with high status chance.
- A hand grenade.
- A projectile attack that knocks down targets.
- A Puncture explosion similar to Iron Shrapnel. First primed with a roar, then triggered on the next damage instance.

Trivia[]
- The Legacyte as it appears in the quest seems to be a primate which used to reside in the Höllvania Zoo and has been taken over by the Techrot to serve as a primitive Hive Queen. The Legacytes encountered in the Legacyte Harvest mission after the death of the original one are likely just full recreations by the Techrot itself, and not further converted primates.
