A special version of the standard Lato pistol with a slower fire rate but offering higher accuracy and damage values. The Lato Vandal has been customized by the Tenno with a blue-green metallic finish, and Lotus branding on the grips.

The Lato Vandal is the Vandal version of the Lato Lato, gaining improved damage and accuracy in exchange for a reduced rate of fire.

This weapon can be sold for Credits64 2,500.

Acquisition

This weapon was available to anyone who logged in during the Closed Beta (Excluding the Open Beta Weekend) upon the game transitioning into Open Beta (Update 7.0 (2013-03-18)). It originally had no rank restriction, so anyone who logged in during the Closed Beta could acquire it, regardless of time spent playing the game.

After the game entered Open Beta, Lato Vandal was unobtainable until Update 22.18 (2018-04-20), in which it was added as a reward in Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, a game mode introduced in that update. All the parts can be traded, although players must have a Mastery Rank of at least 7 to acquire the blueprint.

Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily Script error: The function "Proc" does not exist. damage.

Advantages

  • High critical chance and damage.

Trivia

  • As mentioned above, the Lato Vandal was originally rewarded to players who participated in WARFRAME's Closed Beta period, as a then-exclusive gift from DE as detailed in this blog post. This made it a surefire way of distinguishing players who played WARFRAME since the beginning.
  • Prior to Update 22, the Lato Vandal had limited customization options, wherein the selected color would be combined with the existing Vandal colors.
