This weapon was available to anyone who logged in during the Closed Beta (Excluding the Open Beta Weekend) upon the game transitioning into Open Beta (Update 7.0 (2013-03-18)). It originally had no rank restriction, so anyone who logged in during the Closed Beta could acquire it, regardless of time spent playing the game.

After the game entered Open Beta, Lato Vandal was unobtainable until Update 22.18 (2018-04-20), in which it was added as a reward in Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, a game mode introduced in that update. All the parts can be traded, although players must have a Mastery Rank of at least 7 to acquire the blueprint.

Incarnon Genesis[]

  • Installing the Lato Incarnon Genesis requires 20 PathosClamp Pathos Clamps, 70 YaoShrub Yao Shrubs, and 100 NacreousPebble Nacreous Pebbles.
  • When installed, the first Evolution tier is unlocked. The following Evolution tiers, their requirements for unlocking them, and their related perks, are shown below;

Evolution I[]

  • Headshots charge Incarnon Transmutation; Alt Fire transmutes. Switching back will expend any remaining charge.
  • Gain Punch Through and Ricochet.
  • Mode switching is not instantaneous and has an animation equal to the weapon's reload speed.
  • Incarnon Form is activated by filling the Incarnon Transmutation gauge that appears under the reticule by achieving headshots and then pressing the Alternate Fire button. 6 headshots will completely fill the gauge. A full gauge is not required to activate Incarnon Form.
    • Charges generate only on headshots, and not other weakspots, such as the backpacks of most MOA variants. Similarly, shooting weakspots generated by either Sonar130xWhite Sonar or Mod TT 20px Detect Vulnerability in places other than heads will have no effect either.
    • Headshots on corpses do not build charges.
    • Individual Multishot bullets can build charges.
  • Instead of drawing ammunition from its reserves, the Lato's Incarnon Form uses a separate "magazine" with each charge producing 4 rounds to a maximum of 24. Once all ammunition is expended, the Lato reverts to its normal form.
    • Incarnon Form's magazine is not affected by mods.
    • Incarnon Form is not affected by Ammo Efficiency (such as EnergizedMunitions130xWhite Energized Munitions).
    • Charges and Incarnon Form persists through all activities, such as holstering, bleedout, or being disarmed. However, charges and Incarnon Form are removed upon death.
  • Swapping to and from Incarnon Form will fully reload the normal form's magazine.

  • As mentioned above, the Lato Vandal was originally rewarded to players who participated in WARFRAME's Closed Beta period, as a then-exclusive gift from DE as detailed in this blog post. This made it a surefire way of distinguishing players who played WARFRAME since the beginning.
  • Prior to Update 22.0 (2017-10-12), the Lato Vandal had limited customization options, wherein the selected color would be combined with the existing Vandal colors.
  • Though the description states that Lato Vandal's fire rate is slower than the normal Lato, this refers to the old behavior of the weapon prior to Update 32.2 (2022-11-30), which lowered the normal Lato's fire rate but left Lato Vandal's unchanged.
