Kuva Trokarians are special Grineer units deployed exclusively to the Zariman Ten Zero by the Worm Queen herself. In addition to being armed with a Kuva Karak, they also wield two throwable Kuva Trokars that generate a 10-meter Transference-disrupting fields, ejecting Operators/Drifters out of their Warframes. The Trokars can only be destroyed via Void damage.
Tips[]
- They will only throw their Kuva Trokar if they detect an enemy. Thus, if the player remains invisible though various means and avoids using Radiation damage, spawning or creating Allies, or using Chaos on enemies, they will rarely be an issue.
- They will however still see the Operator when they need to be used to complete objectives.
- Their weapons can sometimes embed in difficult to reach places like between objects. Having an Amp that has aoe capabilities of some kind is useful to deal with those that are just out of reach of non aoe void attacks.
Trivia[]
- They share a similar appearance to Pyr Captains.
- On release they were entirely invincible to all crowd control and stunning, before this was changed so after Overguard was removed CC and stunning was viable.
Patch History[]
Update 35.0 (2023-12-13)
- Fixed Excalibur Umbra being able to pass into Kuva Trokar anti-Warframe fields after using Transference (or being ejected from your Warframe). Now he will be stopped outside the bubble like all other Warframes.
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Fixed Kuva Trokarians not using their anti-Warframe spears.
Hotfix 31.6.4 (2022-07-14)
- Kuva Trokarians are now susceptible to CC abilities after their Overguard protection has been removed.
- By design, Kuva Trokarians pre-Overguard had immunities/resistances from another source outside of Overguard that were still active once it was removed by players. They now follow the same logic as other enemies with Overguard.
Update 31.6 (2022-06-09)
- Updated the Anti-Warframe field (Kuva Trokarian’s Anti-Warframe Grenades) to no longer nullify Warframe abilities on forced Transference. As mentioned in the Hotfix 31.5.10 notes.
- Kuva Trokarian enemies are receiving some changes to make them feel like more of a threat when they appear in-mission.
- Similar to their Thrax compatriots, these foes are intended to add an extra level of difficulty to the player’s gameplay loop, so these tweaks are made with that goal in mind.
- Added Overguard to the Kuva Trokarian (but at a lesser value than the Eximus Overguard)
- Increased their Void Damage slightly.
- Increased Armor from 250 to 300.
- Increased base Health from 450 to 500.
- Increased Affinity earned from killing a Kuva Trokarian from 500 to 750.
- Similar to their Thrax compatriots, these foes are intended to add an extra level of difficulty to the player’s gameplay loop, so these tweaks are made with that goal in mind.
