Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily damage.

Advantages:

• Good base damage.
  • High damage – effective versus health.
• Third highest critical chance of all melee weapons, behind Jat Kusar/Fragor Prime and Tekko, and highest critical chance of all single sword weapons.
• Good status chance.
• Stance slot has polarity, matches  Crimson Dervish,  Swooping Falcon and  Vengeful Revenant stances.

Disadvantages:

• Low and damage – less effective versus shields and armor.
• Slow attack speed.

• 'Krohkur' is likely derived from the Old Norse and Icelandic word for 'hook', written as 'Krókur'.
• The Krokhur has "Head Splitter" written on it in Grineer language near the base of the blade.
