Kinetic Siphon Traps are a special Gear item that can be deployed during a mission to assist in capturing a Synthesis target. When used from the Gear menu, Kinetic Siphon traps are thrown at the targeted location, which then create an energy lash that temporarily suspends the Synthesis target into the air for a few seconds, in an effect similar to Bastille, allowing for easier scanning of the target. Only the Synthesis target is affected by the Kinetic Siphon Trap.
Kinetic Siphon Traps can be purchased from Cephalon Simaris in a Relay as part of his Offerings, and cost 5,000 Credits 5,000 for 10 charges.
