Kalymos is Albrecht Entrati's female Kavat.
Appearance[]
Kalymos is quite unique-looking compared to other Kavat breeds. She is completely hairless except for her whiskers, leaving her pale green skin bare. Her eyes uniquely glow solid blue, without distinction of sclera and pupil, similar to the rest of House Entrati's members. She also has a single tail with a fan-shaped tip.
Kalymos wears golden ornaments on her shoulders, and bracelets on her limbs and tail. Her ears are adorned with golden curved earpieces. She wears a long collar adorned with Entrati Obols.
Lore & History[]
General[]
Unlike with other animals, Albrecht didn’t send Kalymos into Void expeditions, for sentimental values and intelligence, although he does mention it could’ve been more ethical to use her than the last pair of Cervulites.
According to Loid, Kalymos was once very sick and was kept in seclusion, but later mysteriously returned healthy. Loid speculates that Kalymos may have been cloned.
Whispers in the Walls[]
"The Kalymos Sequence" is named after the Kavat, likely due to sentimental value.
Kalymos traveled to the year of 1999 alongside her master.
The Lotus Eaters[]
When the Lotus instructs the Drifter to answer the call on the ringing pager in Sanctum Anatomica, they are suddenly warped to an abandoned mall. The Drifter then encounters Kalymos, who leads them around the abandoned mall, eventually leading them to another ringing pager before disappearing.
Trivia[]
- The name Kalymos is likely derived from the name Kalydnos, one of the titans in Greek mythology. Furthermore, Kalymos' traits of resilience and fortitude derive the mythos associated with this titan, one who clung onto an island to save himself from falling into Tartarus. Alternatively, Kalymos may have been named after the Greek island of Kalymnos.
- A Kalymos-themed Kavat Gene Masking Kit can be purchased from the Market for 55.
