Add starting and end dates to each alert

Tactical Alerts are special Alert missions that feature unique challenges and enemies compared to traditional Alert missions. While Tactical Alerts appear for a limited time like normal alerts, they occupy their own unique mission node within a planet, and disappear only once their designated duration has expired, making them more similar to Events. They were first introduced in Hotfix 14.2.4 (2014-08-23).

Conclave points as a mechanic is removed from the game
TacticalAlert

Example of an active Tactical Alert.

Unlike traditional Alert missions, Tactical Alerts can contain non-standard enemy compositions such as large numbers of advanced units or even multiple instances of boss units that make the opposition deadlier than usual. Additionally, Tactical Alerts can impose restrictions that limits a player's loadout; many feature so-called "Void Sensors" that places a maximum Conclave point limit that restricts players on the type of weapons and equipment they can carry, which forces the player to use underpowered equipment or incomplete loadouts. Other Tactical Alerts may have other types of restrictions, like being able to use only a specific weapon.

Tactical Alerts also do not disappear after a single run; instead, each successful run of a Tactical Alert will grant points that accumulate with each subsequent run. The Tactical Alert is completed after a certain amount of points are acquired, which will then grant players the stated reward.

Additionally, after completion players have the option of running a Stratos Challenge, which is a more difficult version of the completed Tactical Alert with more powerful enemies and even lower Conclave point limits. Completing the Stratos Challenge has similar mechanics to the above, and will grant a Stratos Emblem (also known as a Tactical Specialist Emblem) upon the first completion, with subsequent completions changing the rank of the badge each time a challenge is completed.

  • Multiple Hyena NG units are present during the mission.
Intro

Tenno,

Frohd Bek continues to pursue his advanced Hyena program. We have just learned that a massive order of the elemental Fire Hyena model has just finished production. You must enter this facility and destroy these machines before they can be sent into the front lines.

Take note, this is not another straightforward extermination. This facility is equipped with a new kind of sensor, capable of detecting large signatures of void energy generated by more advanced Warframes. Any signs of a threat, the entire facility will be evacuated. To escape detection equip low powered frames and weapons.

I am counting on you Tenno.

- The Lotus

Success

Well done Tenno,

The Corpus will not easily recover from this loss. The cost of these machines should set them back significantly. However, I fear we may have infuriated Frohd Bek. This will have unforeseen consequences in the future.

Mechanics

Activating an Excavator will spawn a swarm of unique red Desert Skates around the Excavator. These Desert Skates feature increased durability and attack power, and are hostile to everyone in the area.

Intro

Tenno,

Our operatives have detected an unusually rich Cryotic deposit in a remote region of the Phobos desert. Curiously, intelligence reveals that the Grineer base at this location is patrolled entirely by airborne Hellion troops rather than standard ground infantry. The Cryotic may have had unforeseen consequences on local wildlife. Proceed with caution.

Note that this will not be a standard excavation mission. as we encountered before, this base is equipped with sensors capable of detecting large signatures of Void energy generated by more advanced Warframes and weapons. With this radar in place, and the entire Grineer battalion capable of flight, their forces would overwhelm you in a matter of moments. Slip in under the radar Tenno, and recover that Cryotic... at any cost.

- The Lotus

Well done Tenno, you have kept this vital resource out of the hands of the enemy. With most of our resources funneled into Project Archwing, I cannot offer you much for your service. Hopefully this will help in some way. -Baro Ki'Teer

Mechanics
  • Each mission spawns two Corpus Targets that must be captured. For each target captured the player will get one point. If only one target is captured, the mission will fail while still awarding one point.
  • The Corpus Target has an energy drain aura that quickly drains energy from Warframes within 80m. This target is also protected by three or more Shield Osprey Eximus that provide constant shield protection until they are destroyed. Target and Eximus spawn at high levels--nearly double that of other enemies on map. These Ospreys are not affected by MindControl130xWhite Mind Control or Chaos130xWhite Chaos, and as long as they are linked with the target, the target cannot be damaged in any way.
  • This alert features an unusually high number of Tech and Sniper Crewman units, along with a high chance of Eximus variants spawning.
Intro

Tenno,

The locations of numerous high-profile Corpus war criminals have been revealed in the vicinity of Europa. Regrettably, this information has come at a high price; our operatives were discovered at the conclusion of their infiltration mission and executed by the enemy. These agents are now expecting an attack and have recruited mercenary snipers to protect them. You must arrive at their location undetected and bring these criminals to justice. Don't let any of them escape.

Good luck,

- The Lotus

Well done Tenno. You have brought an end to the treachery of many Corpus war criminals. The sacrifices made by our scouts have not been in vain. Take this as a reward for your assistance today, hopefully this will help in some way.

  • Eximus spawns are limited to Arson, Arctic and Leech.
  • This is the first Tactical Alert to feature an Escalation phase, which is a third challenge with incredibly high-level enemies on top of the Conclave limits and weapon restrictions. Enemies on the Phoenix Intercept Escalation Phase have a level range of 100 - 150.

As there is a limited number on the map, the same objective indicator as on Exterminate missions will appear, although said objective is completely optional.
    • The number of Manics depends on how many players are in the squad: For 1 player - 15 Manics, 2 players - 30 Manics, 3 players - 50 Manics, 4 players - 75 Manics.
  • The third iteration, i.e. the Stratos Challenge, will reduce the maximum energy of all player's Warframes to 50.

Mechanics
  • The first mission of the alert is a Crossfire mission on Mars with Corpus and Grineer already engaged in battle, occasionally fielding advanced units like Bailiffs and Isolator Bursas. The actual objective however is to undertake a Spy mission to retrieve data from a Data Vault. Unlike with traditional Spy missions, this mission only has a single Data Vault found on the Grineer Galleon side. Due to this, failing to retrieve the data from said vault will result in mission failure.
  • The second mission is another Crossfire mission, this time on Ceres, where players are tasked with a Rescue mission to recover a prisoner. However, due to the high alert conditions of both Corpus and Grineer present on the map the prisoner execution sequence will immediately start upon players entering the prison complex, making it imperative that players find the hostage as soon as possible. The hostage, who turns out to be Maroo, must then be escorted back to extraction to complete the mission.
  • The final Endurance mission is a Crossfire Exterminate mission where players are tasked with eliminating all Grineer on the map. All of the Grineer present though are special Nightwatch units, which are tougher and utilize more advanced weaponry like the KarakWraith Karak Wraith.
  • All missions give a bonus end-of-mission reward upon completion, which can include a single mod from the following:
Intro

Mechanics
  • This alert features the Halloween Nightmare Mode, which has the following restrictions:
    • Players will be unable to use their weapons, Companions, or Warframe powers.
    • All players start with only a set amount of Health and Shields regardless of the selected Warframe: The first mission gives players only 100 Health and 100 Shields, while the second Endurance mission gives only 50 Health and Shields. Players are also unable to recover or receive Energy.
    • Attacks are limited to melee strikes using the Warframe's hands and feet, and damage dealt by Maneuvers like Bullet Jump. While the players's melee attacks can benefit from the Melee Combo Counter, players are unable to use Channeling.
    • Weapon and Warframe Mods are disabled during the alert. The only exceptions are Auras and Exilus mods, whose effects remain active.
    • Players will be unable to access their Gear menu during the mission. Hotkeys will also be disabled, though Ciphers can still be used from inside the hacking screen.
  • Both the first mission and the second Endurance mission is an Assassination mission (although labelled Sabotage) where players must head to a designated location on the map while surviving or avoiding Infested. At a certain point, players must unlock a door with two receptacles on it by finding Power Cells on the tileset where said door is located, with said Power Cells being given by hacking two control consoles. Bringing the Power Cells to the receptacles will open the locked door.
    • The objective location houses a large Jack O' Lantern, which will spawn a Jack O'Naut, -an Infested Juggernaut that has a Jack O' Lantern for a head- which players must kill. As players are unable to use weapons or powers, the only way to defeat the Jack O'Naut is by destroying tall explosive containers consisting of three stacked Jack O' Lanterns, which will release a FireBlast130xWhite Fire Blast around the immediate area that can damage the Jack O'Naut. Once killed, players can immediately head to extraction.
      • Luring the Jack O'Naut into charging into explosive barrels is risky but does good damage.
  • The second Endurance mission also has the side objective of finding three Resource Caches, which provide additional special rewards including Aura and Nightmare Mods.

Operator, alert!

Ordis awoke from deep-diagnostic scans to find this item had been placed beside the central-heating exhaust vent. Surrounding it was a pile of melting snowballs and note that reads;

"Merry Solstice to all, and to all a good fight."

The notion that some shady individual is slinking through the exhaust system while we rest disturbs Ordis immensely. Shall I devise a way to vaporize this mysterious gifter should they return?

Requires Nightwave Rank 5 to participate in this tactical alert.

Players will enter an assassination mission against the Wolf of Saturn Six. Each large room in the galleon is filled with several (roughly 8 to 15) Fugitives as well as several Reth Rollers. Several times in the map the Wolf of Saturn Six will spawn, though he will retreat after losing 33% of his health, after which the players will be able to advance to the next room. Eventually, players will reach the final room for the final showdown with the Wolf of Saturn Six.

Both assassination missions are identical in mechanics, outside of their level; the first mission consists of level 20-30 enemies, and the second with level 50-75. The Wolf's stats may vary, as his initial spawns are limited to the mission's level, but the final showdown might see the Wolf's level boosted significantly against a well-equipped team.

  • Survival game mode on the Orokin Derelicts with no life support, rather Tenno must keep a lantern, much like the one in the Zealoid Prelate fight, alight by killing Infested within its radius. Allowing the lantern to go out will fail the mission.
    • Each Infested killed adds 10% charge to the lantern. Enemies killed while ragdolled (either through certain abilities or weapons) will not contribute to the lantern's charge however. Additionally, the Infested spawns will regularly alternate between 2 areas around the map every few minutes, preventing players from simply camping at a chokepoint and letting the Infested come to them.
    • Jack O' Lanterns are scattered around the map, dropping supplies when destroyed and also granting 10% lantern charge regardless if they're in the lantern's radius or not. Larger Jack O' Lanterns may spawn Infested instead, and a stack of 3 Jack O' Lanterns will naturally give 30% lantern charge. Jack O' Lanterns will also respawn provided players are out of sight.
  • The standard alerts require players to survive for at least 5, 7, and 10 minutes respectively before they can extract, while the Endurance alert requires players to survive for at least 15 minutes to obtain all rewards.
  • 3 Special Resource Caches can be found, containing seasonal drops and being surrounded by 5 Jack O' Lanterns. The drop tables for the standard and Endurance caches can be found here.

Trivia[]

  • The Avalanche Offensive event introduced in Update 14.2 (2014-08-13) functioned very similarly to Tactical Alerts, likely because it was an early test of their implementation.
  • A Tactical Recall weekend mini-event was held from December 10, 2015, to December 14, 2015, in which the Christmas 2014 Tactical Alerts Pack Mentality, Toxic Terrors, Fleet Footed, and Fight or Flight, were reintroduced as 24-hour alerts with different rewards from their original appearances.

Patch History[]

Update 28.2 (2020-07-14)

  • (Undocumented) Set mods no longer have any effect in the Dog Days missions.

Hotfix 25.5.4 (2019-08-06)

Dog Days Tactical Alert Changes
  • Performance now can yield better results for the final Dog Days mission! Mission 4 now yields 1 Nakak Pearl per kill in addition to the 50 given at end of mission. More kills, more Pearls!
  • As an added note, we will have more feedback implemented when DOG DAYS returns, including fixes for AI and more. Thanks everyone for the feedback and fun during this Tactical Alert!

Hotfix 25.5.3 (2019-08-06)

Dog Days Tactical Alert Fixes
  • Fixed an exploit where the mission timer would continue to run when paused in Solo mode which awarded players victory & rewards for the score.
  • Fixed a progstop that would occur if viewing mission progress right when extraction is enabled. This impacted missions beyond Dog Days as well!
  • Fixed an issue with the Abysso Skin among other rewards not appearing in Chat link (Captura Scenes overall still not linkable).

Hotfix 25.5.2 (2019-08-02)

  • Fixed a crash that occurred after a Host migration in the Dog Days Tactical Alert.
  • Fixed Clients able to cast Warframe Abilities that require no Energy (Garuda’s Bloodletting) after dying/respawning in the Dog Days Tactical Alert.

Hotfix 25.5.1 (2019-08-02)
