Placeholder Abilities

  • Passive - Grendel devours and digests an indefinite amount of enemies within his stomach by using his abilities. For each enemy eaten, Grendel grows in size and gains bonus armor, at the cost of energy drain per second. All enemies within Grendel's stomach also suffer damage when Grendel receives damage.
  • Feast - Grendel opens his jaws agape for a duration, creating a powerful suctioning force to drag in enemies and pickups on the aiming reticle within range, swallowing them upon contact and storing them within his stomach. Hold down the ability key to vomit all stored enemies out in front of Grendel with a Toxin area of effect.
    • Grendel can swallow multiple enemies in one cast and move the aiming reticle during suction.
    • Number of eaten enemies is displayed on the ability icon.
    • Each enemy held drains energy over time.
  • Nourish - Grendel stomps the ground to consume a selected eaten enemy, digesting it completely to grant himself and allies within range one of three buffs depending on the enemy type he swallowed. Nourish grants an Armor bonus buff, energy boosting buff that increases energy gain from Energy Orbs, or a buff that creates a Toxin explosion upon the player taking damage.
  • Regurgitate - Grendel spits out a single bile-covered eaten enemy over a long range, dealing damage to enemies it collides with and on impact with terrain.
  • Meatball - Grendel curls up into a roving sphere, causing his movement controls to change into a directional physics-based roll with jumping capability. In this form, Grendel emits an aura around him that swallows enemies he tramples over, with the radius of the aura growing larger the more eaten enemies there are inside his stomach. Press the ability key again to deactivate this ability.
    • Grendel will accelerate faster when rolling downhill and bounce off of terrain obstacles.
    • If Grendel runs out of energy, Meatball deactivates and inflicts a dizziness penalty, stunning Grendel for a moment.
