Garuda Prime Talons are GarudaPrimeIcon Garuda Prime's signature Claws, and the Primed variant of GarudaTalons Garuda Talons, sporting increased Damage and Critical Chance. Garuda Prime defaults to them when no other Melee Weapon is equipped.

Notes[]

  • As the user technically does not have a Melee Weapon equipped, Garuda Prime Talons cannot be used in missions requiring a Melee Weapon, such as Melee Only Sorties.
    • As the talons still count as merely a Weapon, not a Warframe Ability like the Exalted Weapons, they cannot be used in any other Weapon-restricted Sorties either.
    • This manifests via her talons not appearing in-game during such Sorties.
  • If a Nightwave act requires only a ranged Weapon equipped, be it Primary or Secondary, Garuda Prime can use her talons to finish off enemies in melee and still complete the challenge.
    • If another act does require a Melee-only setup, she still has to equip another Melee Weapon.
  • Similarly to Exalted Weapons, this Weapon:
    • can gain Ranks but does not contribute to Mastery Rank.
    • can damage enemies even inside LimboIcon272 Limbo's Rift Plane.
    • does not affect equipped Weapon Affinity.
    • does not receive Riven Mods.
    • adds kill and assist stats to its Warframe owner (Garuda Prime in this case), as it does not have its own Codex entry.
    • does not benefit from the DmgPunctureSmall64 Puncture or DmgColdSmall64 Cold status critical bonuses.
    • can not be duplicated; additional copies of Garuda Prime inherit the original weapon, along with all polarities and build/appearance configurations.
    • can not equip Melee Arcane Enhancements.
  • Unlike other Exalted Weapons, this weapon:
  • Equipping Mod TT 20px Blending Talons on Garuda Prime herself also grants a direct effect on Garuda Prime Talons, with 100% additional combo count chance when striking enemies with DmgSlashSmall64 Bleed procs at max mod rank.

Trivia[]

  • Garuda Prime Talons are the first Prime Exalted Weapon with different stats compared to its standard counterpart.

Patch History[]

Update 33.6 (2023-07-27)

  • Fixed Rauta’s melee combo counter increase not applying with Garuda’s Talons equipped as your melee weapon.
  • Fixed Mods sometimes not applying to Garuda’s Talons in Duviri.

Update 33.0 (2023-04-26)

  • Fixed Garuda being unable to perform Melee Finishers with her Talons in missions that disable Melee weapons.

Update 32.3 (2023-02-15)

  • Fixed the Gladiator Mods equipped on Garuda Prime not applying its set Critical Chance bonus to her Prime Talons.
    • Gladiator Mods apply to Garuda Prime Talons because they are not an exalted weapon, and don’t interact with other melee mods on their regular melee weapon. The Garuda Prime Talons are similar to Titania’s Diwata in this case, which is why the Gladiator set bonus doesn’t apply to Excalibur’s Exalted Blade and Valkyr’s Talons.

Update 31.3 (2022-03-28)

  • Introduced.
