Father is the alias of the father of the Entrati family. He is a partially-infested Orokin engineer who resides inside the enclave of Necralisk, on Deimos. He offers weapon blueprints to the Tenno. He is located inside an infested flower on Necralisk, but can also be found throughout the Cambion Drift in designated spots.
Lore[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
Father belongs to the Entrati family, who were highly regarded since the Orokin Era for being the first ones to create technologies that harnessed the power of the Void. He, along with his wife Mother, are the custodians of the Heart, a device made by her father that "pumps the arteries" of the known universe and the Void, and serves as the wellspring of Void power for the Tenno.
In conversations with him, he reveals that he spent some time in front-line combat in the Old War as a Railjack Gunner, and on how unsettling it was the first time he saw a Sentient Murex.
After the fall of the Orokin Empire, the Dax and Tenno stopped assisting in the protection of Deimos, which resulted in the gradual decline of the Entrati family and abandonment of Void Research Enclaves, or Isolation Vaults, after the encroaching Grey Strain of the Infestation started to increase. These long-abandoned ruins exist in the underworld of the Cambion Drift and its only inhabitants are the Necramech who protect them from intruders. These previously subservient units have gone berserk and will attack any who enter these Vaults looking for treasure.
Soon only the Necralisk was safe for the Entrati family. Father's marriage with his wife was heavily strained, as Mother did not seem to value their marriage, and Father would in turn take his frustrations out on his children, belittling his Daughter's fish and refusing to listen to his Son's theories about Infested wildlife. Mother even assaulted him with a Seriglass Shard. One day after killing a group of animals Son wished to keep as pets, Son lashed out against his family by letting the Infestation into Necralisk, infecting everyone. The Entrati were able to cling to their identities, even as their memories began to rot. Father took advantage of the confusion to flee from his abusive wife.
Heart of Deimos[edit | edit source]
Mother tasks the Tenno to track down Father to help fix the Heart. Father however does not believe the Heart is actually failing, and Mother is just trying to manipulate him into returning home.
After a rogue Necramech destroys the Heart, Father reluctantly returns to Necralisk. Together the family and the Tenno hatch a plan to repair the Heart. Father places the Tenno into an old Necramech he dubs Snake.
With the Heart restored, Father stays in the Necralisk, supplying weaponry for the Tenno and building Necramechs in secret, including one modeled after his wife.
Operation: Orphix Venom[edit | edit source]
The Sentients have returned to invade the Sol System, this time their Orphix have learned to disable Warframes. Father's Necramechs, which remain immune to the Sentient's pulses, aid in the counterattack.

When the player reaches the rank of Acquaintance with the Entrati, a cutscene plays in which Father and Kaelli discuss the time he made her a Void Claw weapon, which she later attacked him with. He expressed that he did not want to be useless, hoping to give her something to protect herself with. Kaelli assures him she never believed he was useless, simply misguided in trying to impress his family.
After this, she names him Vilcor, meaning "the whip in its moment of striking". This name then replaces his previous name in-game from that point on.
When the player reaches the rank of Friend with the Entrati, a cutscene plays with a conversation between Kermerros and Vilcor, where Kermerros reveals the true intention behind his Infested breeding was to create targets for Vilcor's weapons.
When the player reaches the rank of Family with the Entrati, a cutscene plays with a conversation between the entire family, where Vilcor gives Mother a Seriglass Shard and convinces her to let go of the shard that binds her to Grandfather. Following this, Vilcor gives Mother the name Gomaitru, meaning "the goblet refilled". This name replaces Mother's in-game name from then on.
The Tenno are fully welcomed into the Entrati family and are bestowed the name Ayatan.
