- The phoenix is a long-lived bird in Greek mythology associated with sun. It is known for its repeating life cycle, arising from its own ashes after it dies.
- This helmet has its roots early in the game's development; it was originally planned for Warframes to have corresponding gender counterparts and Ember in particular was initially male, with the Phoenix helmet intended to be his default helmet.
