The Dax Arcus is Duviri Dax that wields the Cinta Cinta.


Behavior[]

Preferring to stay at distance, Dax Arcus prefer ranged combat over close-quarters encounters, and will jump back, leaving several explosives if the player gets too close to them. A bright teal, arrow-like visage will be shown on the player if a Dax Arcus has targeted them. These arrows are parryable.

One of their special abilities is to fire down a constant rain of arrows on a specified location. They are interruptible with a shot from the player, which will knock them down and open them up to a finisher. Depending on the current Spiral, if empowered by a Dax Herald, their arrow rain will trigger the corresponding proc as well as do damage.

Their second special ability is to take aim and crouch in place, then charge a staggering high damage energy shot that can punch through most small environmental objects. This can also be interrupted to knock them down. And if under the effect of a Heralds empowerment, depending on the current Spiral, will modify this special attack:

  • Sorrow (Cold): Charges a slow moving ice energy ball that causes 6 Cold procs if hit as well as massive damage
  • Anger (Heat): Charges a fast moving fireball that causes 6 Heat procs and massive damage if hit
  • Envy (Toxin): Charges an inaccurate laser barrage that does massive damage
  • Fear (Electric): Charges a lock on lightning beam
  • Joy (Lifesteal): Charges a spread of 6-7 explosive bolts. Getting hit spawns a slow moving energy orb that returns to the Arcus, healing her

Notes[]

  • As with all Duviri Daxes, Dax Arcus takes guaranteed Critical Hit on headshot. This critical hit is independent from the weapon's own critical chance, allowing it to occasionally dip into orange crit.

Trivia[]

  • The have a similar appearance to the Dax Equitem, although they instead wear a helmet instead of a hood.

  • Operator Amps can now interrupt Dax abilities in the Undercroft similar to how weapon fire can.
  • Fixed Dax Arcus enemies leaping very large distances across Undercroft maps.

  • Dax enemies can now be affected by multiple stacks of Status Effects!

  • Fixed completing any side objective in The Duviri Experience defeating a Dax enemy patrol forcing your main Story objective waypoints to disappear, leaving you unaware of where to progress.
