Cinematic Damage is a hidden, unique damage type which has no damage modifier against any health, shield or armor type. This damage type applies to health, shield and overguard, and bypasses armor's damage reduction. It is applied as the status effect of Slash Damage.
Cinematic Damage is similar to True Damage, though the latter also bypasses shields.

Notes[]
- The term "Cinematic Damage" is in reference to the internal damage type name DT_CINEMATIC_DAMAGE.
- Prior to its discovery, the term "Finishing Damage" was used, often leading to confusion with Finisher attacks.
- Sentient enemies do not adapt to Cinematic Damage.
