The Dakra Prime is a Tenno forged weapon, crafted during the Time of the Orokin. It is renowned for speed, power and the ability to hit multiple targets.

The Dakra Prime is a standalone Prime melee weapon which boasts the highest base damage of any [[::Category:Sword|Sword]] in the game. The Dakra Prime was added to the game in Update 10.

Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily damage.

Advantages: 

• Second-highest base damage of any one-handed melee weapon, surpassed only by the Dragon Nikana.
• Has 2 polarity slots, and .
• Normal attacks can hit multiple targets.
• Stance slot has polarity, matches Crimson Dervish stance.
• Good critical chance.

Disadvantages:

• Low  and damage.

Notes

• The Dakra Prime is treated as the third upgrade to the Skana, after Cronus and the Pangolin Sword, as it possess similar characteristics in terms of output damage on Maneuvers.
• While the Dragon Nikana surpasses the Dakra Prime in terms of base single hit damage, the Dakra Prime can achieve a higher damage per hit if equipped with the Crimson Dervish stance, due to the stance's high damage multiplier on normal attacks. This comes at the cost of Crimson Dervish's slower attack speed however.

Trivia

• The Dakra Prime resembles a Sabre, however there is no obvious crossguard. Alternatively, the Dakra Prime's design may also be based on the Khanda.
• This weapon was formerly named "Dakka Prime" before Update 10.0.4. The original name is derived from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
  • Dakra may a reference to the Dakra massacre of 1971, where the village of Dakra was assaulted and its inhabitants killed by soldiers during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
• Like other Prime weapons, it is likely ornamental, given its appearance.
• Oddly, in-game files refer to the Dakra Prime as "Cronus Prime".
• There was a bug where crafting the Dakra Prime would result in the user receiving an Orthos Prime until it was fixed (albeit undocumented) in Update 10.0.4.
