Cryptilexes are insectoid-like 
Infested lifeforms that are native to the Cambion Drift on Deimos. They can be found in groups of three in the wild or tracked down as a Conservation activity. There are currently 3 subspecies of Cryptilex.
General[]
Despite their small size, Cryptilexes are aggressive creatures, and they will not hesitate to attack beings that are much larger than themselves. Insects are a fundamental part of Deimos' food webs, making conservation of these creatures all the more vital.
Cryptilexes can often be found in caves, where they are preyed upon by Nexifera. These bizarre creatures use their armored shell to crush the Cryptilexes from above.
Ganglions are considered to be a delicacy by Cryptilexes, causing them to gather around Haptic Fronds in order to acquire their favorite meal.
Subspecies[]
A common Cryptilex subspecies, and the most abundant. Burrowing Cryptilexes can often be found in the Catabolic Gutter.
When captured via Conservation, they will reward the following:

A rare Cryptilex subspecies. Due to their infectious nature, Septic Cryptilexes have the innate ability to deal 
Viral damage with their attacks, which has caused them to become the target of attempted eradication at the hand of the Grineer.
Additionally, Son is very fond of Septic Cryptilexes.

A very rare Cryptilex subspecies. Caustic Cryptilexes posses acid glands in their abdomens that can emit a caustic spray, which is acidic enough to burn through a Landing Craft's hull.
When Deimos was first infested, Grandmother would use the acidic juices from these Cryptilexes in an attempt to burn off the infested, wart-like growths from the rest of the Entrati.

Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- Higher quality Conservation captures will now provide better rewards, as they do in our other Free Roam landscapes. Scoring a “Good” capture will now provide 2 animal capture Tags instead of 1, and “Perfect” captures will award 3 Tags!
- Increased the number of Cryptilex spawned at Call Points from 1 to 2-4.
