The Cortege is an Orokin Era weapon created by the Entrati, a beam Archgun that builds charges on kills to allow use of the Alternate Fire, a trio of grenades that leaves lingering flames.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals primarily Heat damage on its primary fire and Blast damage on its Alternate Fire.
- Primary fire releases a flamethrower-like beam.
- Pinpoint accuracy.
- Consumes 0.5 ammo per tick of damage.
- Beam has a thickness of ~1 meter.
- Beam deals radial damage varying from of 1 to 4 meters in a cone shape.
- The Atmospheric beam has innate Infinite Body Punch Through.
- No Damage Falloff in Archwing Mode.
- Getting 5 kills with the Cortege's primary fire will unlock an Alternate Fire that releases a trio of grenades that explodes in an 4 meter radius on impacting a surface or when remotely detonated with Alternate Fire, leaving lingering flames that deal continuous damage for 11 seconds.
- Initial hit and explosion apply status separately.
- Explosion does not need direct line of sight to deal damage and will penetrate walls.
- Consumes no ammo.
- After using Alternate Fire, additional kills are needed to recharge the grenade barrage.
- Innate polarity.
Advantages over other Archgun (Atmosphere) weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Primary Fire has the second highest status chance of all Archguns, behind Arquebex/ Mausolon.
- Held (wiki attack index 1)
- Above average fire rate (12.000 attacks/sec)
- Above average magazine (100)

- Area of effect cannot headshot.
- Limited range of:
- 380 meters in Archwing Mode.
- 28 meters in Atmospheric Mode.
- Alternate Fire:
- Requires 5 primary fire kills to charge a gauge and cannot fire without a full gauge.
- Extremely low fire rate, causing a long pause after firing.
- Projectiles have travel time with heavy arcing.
- Explosion has a headshot multiplier of 1x and cannot trigger headshot conditions.
- Explosion has linear Damage Falloff from 100% to 70% from central impact.
- Slow reload speed in Atmospheric Mode.
- Held (wiki attack index 1)
- Low crit chance (20.00%)
- Below average ammo max (300)

- Grenade Impact (wiki attack index 2)
- Below average reload speed (2.50 s)
- Low total damage (60)
- Very low status chance (16.70%)
- Very low fire rate (0.250 attacks/sec)
- Below average crit multiplier (2.40x)
- Radial Attack (wiki attack index 3)
- Below average active falloff slope (13.3m/%)
- Below average crit chance (30.00%)
- Below average maximum falloff distance (4.0 m)
- Below average reload speed (2.50 s)
- Below average ammo max (300)
- Below average status chance (16.70%)
- Low fire rate (0.250 attacks/sec)
- Below average crit multiplier (2.40x)
Acquisition[]
The Cortege main blueprint can be acquired by reaching Rank 3 - Clearance: Odima with the Necraloid. The main blueprint is offered as a rank up reward, but Loid sells additional main blueprints for 8,000. Components are crafted from blueprints that can be acquired for 4,000 each after reaching Rank 2 - Clearance: Modus with the syndicate. Once crafted, it comes with a pre-installed Gravimag.
Additionally requires Rank 2 - Visitor with Ostron in order to acquire Fersteel Alloy required in its construction.
The Damaged Necramech Weapon parts are acquired from Normal and Arcana Isolation Vault Bounty rewards.
The Damaged Necramech Weapon parts and fully built Cortege components can be traded between players. Trading for fully built components will bypass the need for Ostron's Fersteel Alloy.

Notes[]
- Alternate-fire charges after killing 5 enemies.
- Leaves a flaming puddle dealing 1000 Heat damage per second for 11 seconds.
- Puddle damage does not fall off with radius.
- Puddle is not affected by faction mods.
- Puddle is not affected by elemental mod bonuses.
- Puddle has a fixed 68% chance [% Confirmation Needed] to proc Heat. Procs have a shortened 3 second duration.
- Proc duration is not affected by status duration mods, but is affected by Lavos's duration passive.
- Leaves a flaming puddle dealing 1000 Heat damage per second for 11 seconds.
- Primary-fire has varying conal beam AoE along its length with radii from 1m - 4m. The 4m radius at the end of the beam is spherical, granting an effective range of 32 meters.
- The initial shot briefly has the 4m radius centered on the barrel, striking enemies behind the player.
- Beam AoE does not scale with multishot bonuses and is overridden by the beam itself, so only one can deal damage at a time.
Trivia[]
- Cortège is a French term referring to processions. Its antiquated use as a loaned word in the English language though equated it with funeral processions exclusively.
- During the Heart of Deimos quest, the enemy Necramech wields a Cortege during cutscenes, and at one point fires Mausolon-like full-auto rounds. However, when fought it is armed with a Mausolon instead.

Patch History[]
Update 35.0 (2023-12-13)
- ARCHGUN DEPLOYER: HEAVY WEAPON CHANGES
With the various buffs and adjustments we’ve made to Warframe weapons over the years, a common question we see in response is “but what about Archguns?”. These Heavy Weapons are meant to be heavy-hitters, but arguably have been overshadowed by the Primary and Secondary guns in your Arsenal. To address this feedback, we have made the following changes:
ON-DEPLOY OVERGUARD BUFF
Upon using an Archgun Deployer, players will now gain 2000 Overguard.
- Effect has a 60s cooldown.
- The Overguard gain is capped at 2000, so re-deploying your Archgun after the cooldown resets will refresh your Overguard up to the 2000 cap.
HEAVY WEAPON BUFFS
Overall, most Heavy Weapons (a.k.a. Archguns when used via the Archgun Deployer) have had their damage doubled. Some of the Archguns have also received buffs to their Archwing version, which we will indicate below.
Archgun Damage Resistance
Before we get into the stats, we have added a 50% Archgun Damage Resistance to the Profit Taker. Since these weapons have had their damage buffed, this resistance keeps these fights to the same difficulty as before.
Heavy Weapon Stat Changes
Note: these apply only to Archgun Deployer versions of these weapons unless otherwise specified.
CORTEGE
- Held: Increased from 90 to 180 Heat Damage
- Damage / Projectile: Increased from 10 to 20 Impact Damage
- Radial Attack: Total Damage increased from 3000 to 6000
- Blast Damage increased from 1000 to 2000 (per projectile, of which there are 3)
Update 33.6 (2023-07-27)
- Improved the visibility of Cortege’s beam when using a black energy color with lower GPU Particle Quality settings.
Update 33.5 (2023-06-21)
- Fixed the Cortege’s beam being invisible when the energy color is set to black.
Update 32.3 (2023-02-15)
- (Undocumented) Added new "BATTERY" CompatibilityTag.
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Headshot Damage Changes
During playtesting, the ammo changes alone weren’t enough to significantly change things for AoE weapons. So instead of tightening these values to be overly restrictive, we chose to address other factors that make these weapons so strong, such as headshot damage.
Our approach here is two-fold, to reduce the impact of headshots for AOE weapons, but to also make precision headshots pack a larger punch overall.
- Radial damage no longer gains extra headshot damage or triggers headshot conditions.
- This is primarily targeted at the Ignis Wraith - as a “flamethrower” weapon, it’s hard to imagine a blanket of elements being precise enough to target weak points specifically. Explosive projectiles themselves can still land headshots, so there is still a reason to aim with most weapons for maximum damage.
Update 31.6 (2022-06-09)
- Changed the reticle of several weapons with a charge mechanic to no longer use energy colors for their charge indicators.
- While it’s desirable to have the reticle of these weapons take on the energy color, it sacrifices too much clarity for the weapon charge indicator.
- This applies to:
- Cortege charge reticle
- While it’s desirable to have the reticle of these weapons take on the energy color, it sacrifices too much clarity for the weapon charge indicator.
Update 29.6 (2020-12-18)
- Cortege can be purchased in the Market for Platinum. Necramech’s also have their own category in the Market!
- Fully crafted components for the Necramech/weapons are now tradeable.
Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- Cortege Changes:
- Increased range from 24m to 28m.
- Added Punch Through to the Cortege’s primary fire against enemies (will not penetrate level geometry).
Hotfix 29.0.8 (2020-09-10)
- Fixed Cortege prompting to install a Gravimag first as opposed to a Catalyst. This weapon comes with a Gravimag pre-installed, it will only ask you for a Catalyst if you wish to add one.
Hotfix 29.0.6 (2020-09-01)
- Fixed Cortege doing incorrect Damage type in Heavy Weapon mode.
Hotfix 29.0.4 (2020-08-27)
- Fixed certain icons being reversed for repaired Cortege Receiver / Stocks.
Update 29.0 (2020-08-25)
- Introduced.
