Corpus Ship (Old) since Update 28.0 (2020-06-11)

Corpus Ships are some of the greatest examples of Corpus technology and architecture, serving as mobile factories, cities, and fleet maintenance stations, as well as temples to their founder, Parvos Granum. Juno Corpus are the primary occupants of the set with other factions occasionally appearing during Invasions. The player will find the Corpus Security Cameras, Laser Barriers, and turrets among these sets with the standard Corpus lockers and destructible canisters.

There are three different classes and models of Corpus capital ships:

  • Obelisk Corpus OCorpus BCorpus ECorpus LCorpus ICorpus SCorpus K - The largest are the finned hammer-like models, which are often used for orbital support and bombardment. If an Obelisk has suffered severe damage, then the font bridge module is able to be ejected and detached as a large escape pod, while the finned prongs on top can be used to launch a large artillery laser beam. Like the other models, Obelisks are able to launch a swarm of torpedo missiles from its sides.
  • Stanchion Corpus SCorpus TCorpus ACorpus NCorpus CCorpus HCorpus ICorpus OCorpus N - The medium-sized, double-hulled model that may also be a warship. Like the other models, Stanchions are able to launch a swarm of torpedo missiles from its back.
  • Pillar Corpus PCorpus ICorpus LCorpus LCorpus ACorpus R - A smaller, more slender class sporting long holographic banners along their hulls and six large rocket thrusters. They have also been shown to be able to launch an artillery laser beam from the front. Like the other models, Pillars are able to launch a swarm of torpedo missiles from its sides.

All three ships share the same tileset. Three different holograms of these ships can be found in the Energy Research Lab in the Clan Dojo, and the ships themselves can be seen and boarded as the main objectives in Corpus Railjack missions.

Features[]

Treasurers[]

Main article: Treasurer

Treasurers are unique enemies that carry Granum Crowns in favor of Parvos Granum. However, such pickups will only drop after completing The Deadlock Protocol Quest.

GranumVoidScene

Parvos Granum's ship in the Granum Void

Main article: Granum Void

Unlocked after completing The Deadlock Protocol Quest, the Granum Void is a unique location that can only be accessed by spending Granum Crowns at Golden Hand Tributes located around the Corpus Ship tileset. While inside this area, players will participate in a timed extermination mission against Errant Specters for additional mission rewards before being teleported out of the Void. Only one Granum Void attempt can be performed in a mission, after which all Tributes present will deactivate for the remainder of the mission. If the Quest has not been completed yet, the Hands will be facing backward and no input will be given to access the Void.

Captured Solaris[]

Main article: Granum Crown#Uses

Captured Solaris can be found hidden in tight maintenance corridors or in some rooms on the Corpus Ship. A Granum Crown can be spent to free these prisoners in return for Solaris United standing.

Corpus Temple Reliefs[]

CorpusShipTempleRelief
Main article: Granum Crown#Uses

Corpus Temple Reliefs are large tiles with a large pyramid structure memorializing the Tenets of their great founder. A single Granum Crown can be spent at the base of the structure in return for a lore fragment of the Corpus Tenets, as well as a decoration symbolizing one of the eleven Tenets. Only one Corpus Temple Relief can appear per mission.

Trivia[]

  • Each ship model is named after similar structures from engineering and architecture:
    • A pillar is a tall vertical structure used for support or as an ornament or monument.
    • Similarly, an obelisk is a vertical stone structure mainly used as a monument or landmark.
    • A stanchion is an upright bar or frame that forms a support or barrier, similar to a fence.
  • After they are freed, the Solaris prisoners are teleported away in a similar fashion to the Granum Void portals.
  • Numerous rotating gear devices of unknown function can be found throughout the tileset, most notably in the underbelly section of the Rescue tile. They are able to be destroyed, but the effect of destroying them is currently unknown.
  • A particular workshop room can appear, featuring a Corpus proxy being currently repaired in the center. There are 4 possible variants of this room, depending on what's being repaired:
  • Another room features a spinning assembly surrounded by Void energies in the middle, which deal large amounts of damage upon contact. The central unit is surrounded by 4 glass cylinders through which cowering Corpus Crewmen are delivered every few seconds, to be consumed by the central unit, momentarily accelerating its movement. This machine can be disabled by hacking 4 control panels around it (each one disabling one of the glass tubes delivering Crewmen). Once shut down, the assembly can be entered; several resource containers are usually found under the central unit.
    • A similar device is reprogrammed in Volatile in order to disable the ship's shields. The machine may be a shield generator, however this does not explain the purpose of the apparent human sacrifices.
  • Around the Tile Set, some special drones might be encountered, acting as a sort of distraction for the player while fighting enemies. Such drones will display an image in front, while one of The Tenets recited by Parvos Granum can be heard. They are probably propaganda drones.

Update 28.0 (2020-06-11)

CORPUS SHIP REMASTER

The entire Corpus fleet has been retrofitted and redeployed for service. Explore remastered levels, complete with shrines to the illustrious Parvos Granum, but beware of new dangers lurking aboard.

[1]

As you infiltrate Corpus vessels, fight enemies and generally interrupt the pursuit of Grofit, the Corpus will use every piece of their security arsenal to stop you. Be prepared for upgraded Turrets and such deadly reinforcements as mine-deploying Corpus Treasurers.

JACKAL REWORK Return to Fossa to face an upgraded threat. Equipped with a suite of the latest technology and upgraded combat capabilities, the Corpus have spent mind-boggling sums of Credits for the sole purpose of taking you out.

[2]

Experienced Tenno can enjoy seven days of Jackal Sorties following release, where you can take on the reworked Jackal in a high-level area!

NEW CORPUS ENEMIES! From ‘Minima Moas’ to ‘Juno’ series of Corpus Troops - take on new threats on the remastered Corpus Fleet!

GRANUM CROWNS: THE CURRENCY OF CORPUS DEVOTION

Out of desperation to locate any last trace of the long-dead Founder, Nef Anyo has developed a way to open Void portals. Eudico believes they’ve been kidnapping Solaris to use as guinea pigs and needs your help to rescue them.

[3]

The portals are built through Golden Hand Tributes, a spot of profit-worship for faithful Corpus. By spending their Granum Crowns, a valuable manifestation of their devotion, the Corpus can open a rift and send expeditions to Void sites.

Thankfully, you can use these Granum Crowns to your advantage. Collect three tiers of Crowns from Treasurers in your Missions, each signifying a higher level of devotion than the last: Granum Crown, Exemplar Granum Crown, and Zenith Granum Crown. Use them to initiate challenges in Missions, search for Corpus Temple Reliefs or negotiate the release of Solaris prisoners in exchange for Standing.

Within every Corpus Ship Remastered mission you’ll encounter a Treasurer: A devoted follower of Parvos and all he stood for, willing to dedicate his life to be the keeper of the tokens of his esteem. The Treasurer is guaranteed to spawn within 2 - 4 minutes in a non-endless mission, and between 5 - 8 minutes in an endless mission. The level of your mission determines the tier of Crowns the Treasurer will possess. Handle him with haste before he escapes with his sacred tokens!

Level Tiers are:
0-15: Granum Crown
16-30: Exemplar Granum Crown
31+: Zenith Granum Crown

  • Granum Crowns will not appear from Treasurers until you complete The Deadlock Protocol Quest.

[4]

Granum Crowns can also be spent at the Corpus Temple Reliefs in Missions to learn more about the Founder. Each new story you acquire will earn you Relief Decorations for your Orbiter!

[5]

Update 24.2 (2018-12-18)

  • Replaced old Corpus lockers of various types with shiny new and improved Corpus lockers on numerous tilesets.
